Windex will work on the inside well enough but I'd use a product called rainx on the outside. It helps water bead and leave. Might want to fill the wiper reservoir with it too. FWIW

Stoner (mentioned twice already) is a good product. The key to cleaning the inside windshield is only do a couple of swipes with a microfiber cloth in an area then turn the folded towel over to a clean area then wipe some more. The thought is to not spread around the film once you pick it up with the cloth. Use what ever you like on the exterior for the first pass. Then you can use a clay bar to get more of the contaminants off. You can coat or dress the exterior if you choose but at this point the glass should be really clean and clear.

    RainX and invisible glass.

rainX will make the water repel off the glass when it rains and invisible glass is the best for having clear glass.

I'm a perfectionist with my cars, took me ages to finally figure out how to get a streak free windscreen (on the inside).

    Don't worry about any spray/chemical products, all you need to use is a microfiber glass cleaning cloth like the one pictured below;

All along I've been trying different products with a standard microfiber cloth and always had streaks, did my head in I could never get it streak free lol.

As for the outside, once you wash the screen and then chamois it it should be streak free - shouldn't be hazy.

Clean with Invisible Glass and apply a rain repellent on top. I just applied the Trico repellent yesterday but for the money, Rain X is probably the way to go.

I can never clean my ****ing windshield decently. Every time I think I do, as soon as it gets a little foggy inside I see just how bad I did. I can't ****ing fit or contort in a way to get in there better. Either that or the cloth slips and I palm**** the glass, or I get too close to the ****tily applied inspection stickers and track glue all over.

    Invisible glass + rainex

When I am in a car without rainex on the windshield I want to cry
Yes... come and let us make an end of it. It matters not, even cornered, to my last breath... I remain who and what I am. I will not hide, nor tremble, nor beg. Let them come and reckon with fury that is DOOM defiant.

    Some tips:

Sit in the passenger seat and lean across with your right hand to clean driver side of windshield.

Use only certain microfiber towels and use a handful of them. For cleaning and finishing.

Don’t listen to the ‘less is more’ crowd...Initially use a lot of cleaner.

Some glass cleaners completely suck, so choose wisely.

Consider how you’re washing your towels.

No matter how good a detailer is, they will always miss spots on glass.

I clean with D120 and finish with Adams Glass cleaner.

This thread was extremely relevant to me today. I had nano ceramic tint put on my '18 Durango recently but only the windshield tint (%50 btw) had some weird haze/film on it. I tried using the stuff the installer gave me and it didn't seem to help. He told me to wait a few days for it to completely dry first. I texted him that it still wouldn't come off and he suggested denatured alcohol. I used it and it seemed to make it worse! I picked up some Invisible Glass cleaner and it didn't help either. As a last ditch effort, I figured it couldn't hurt but I tried plain tap water and a microfiber cloth. It seriously blew my mind that it cleaned all of the leftover chit that was on the inside of the windshield with one pass! I'm guessing the denatured alcohol may have really done most of the work but the water was the final thing I used on it and it worked beyond my expectation. Such an aggravating thing to deal with lol!
