Medicine is also the easiest field to be an entrepreneur in. Just don't be in a mega saturated market (aka go 30 minutes outside the city), do the basics and you can do well. It may be tough the first couple years vs a salaried job but eventually you can be much better off. Plus you can do urgent care/ED shifts to keep the cash flow going.

Two factors changed that. First, hospitals started buying up primary care practices like crazy to lock in the primary care docs referrals. This also had the effect of greatly reducing the primary care docs hours and improving their lifestyle as they were smart and negotiated normal hours. Also most hospitals now have a group of hospitalist physicians (about $200k) who do nothing but treat and discharge patients in the hospital, no office practice, so the primary care docs burden of managing patients in the hospital is greatly reduced.

Secondly, both hospitals and insurance companies realized that primary care docs are the key to getting the expensive trainwreck patients treated early so they never develop trainwreck status. Tons of incentive money available to primary care docs to see patients early and often and to pay special attention with care plans to those patients most at risk for developing multiple, expensive co-morbidities.

But really, you don't become a doc to get rich. If you're smart enough to be a doc, there's probably a finance, drug research, etc job that would make you multiples of what you'd make as a doctor. But then you wouldn't be a medical doctor would you?
Medicine is a for sure route to big money. I mean you're virtually guaranteed 250k and are also guaranteed a solid shot at mid to high 6 figures. In the world of finance/business? Good luck. You aren't guaranteed any job let alone a fair shot at big money. You'll be lucky to make 200k. Thing is, it's easier to run up the billing as a specialist and make 7 figures than to do it in finance...

Also lets keep in mind primary care sucked badly 10 years ago paying 180-190k until obamacare ramped up pay into low to mid 200s across the board.

Are you trying to suggest (to the misc) that there is more to base another man's value on, than simply on his appearance ? You're a fukking geek bro, get off of my internet.

Do you post when you're drunk, or something? Whenever you see me post you start crying and coping for your lot in life, projecting delusions of grandeur and fame on me ever since I called you out in that audio thread. Listen closely: that some posters on this forum purchase audio setups for their enjoyment that are more expensive than the audio systems you set up as part of your daily job doesn't necessarily mean that they are pissing money away.

I get that it's hard for you to deal with the fact that some people make (relatively and in absolute terms) a lot of money. I get that the way I write my posts triggers people like you (and others), especially coping mental midgets who write phrases online like 'try hard', but - guess what?

Youre an idiot on all levels

And your language does nothing to cover it up, thats what im telling you. The substance of your posts doesnt match up to your language... Its what we call "fluff" and youre doing it for a reason. And i know what that reason is

I will guarantee im around more money than you can ever dream of, im not really sure what your point is. My point in that thread was spending 100k on audio equipment for personal use was outlandish. The cost significantly outweighs the benefits..and i went on to point out that ONE of my jobs (seasonal), since you so naively seem to assume you know what i do, sets up music halls and the equipment there doesnt necessitate the cost some of the posters in that thread were preaching. Cool

    What am i coping about?

Some people have lots of money to blow..and youre not,a bezos/ gates economic status. The point here? D
Im saying just because they have money doesnt mean cost to quality ratio is in tact, nor that its necessary

They get insecure when they figure out they are not the only ones who can impress sloots and get offended when they find out that many educated, attractive women would prefer to marry a doctor over them .
