@ mgftp - All those mornings of waking up at 4 am are paying off, I see.

Studies show, super early risers are usually the most successful.

I'd say out of all the changes I've made in my life switching to AM workouts and going to bed earlier and waking up earlier has provided me the biggest benefit. I am barely doing AM workouts since COVID though, typically fitting them in before lunch or dinner which I think is a good change for my body, especially since I fast in the morning, I like the though of having this period of time when I am dumping in calories right after lifting. But I am still never sleeping past 5, even though many days for work I may not do anything till 7 or 8, and often still just working from home.

I'd say it's mentality and approach to life. It's probably not the waking up early that correlates to these things but more that the person that is waking up last minute, scrambling to get things done without making time for things to better themselves or even just relaxation before starting the day, before they must leave for work are operating in an unhealthy pattern.

i bought a resilient foam block for doing box jumps with a 20", 24" and 30" profile. tried doing the 20" today and i like it alot. like cardio, except fast twitch muscle fiber building cardio.

aww yea, the foam block and a decline bench for doing sit ups are the two most recent additions. still a few more odds and ends to buy but i think its getting close to being complete

Got a bike with a computer that sync stats (mine is a Schwinn ic4 but there are others) and just subscribed to the Peloton app which is like 13$ a month rather than the normal $40 or whatever it is with the more expensive Peloton bike. I have an Android TV wall mounted in front of the bike to run the app on. Works great and my girl does yoga and all sorts of other Peloton classes with it. From what I have heard all the others like Echelon do not have the same quality of instructors and classes. Just my take as I researched all this and decided on our settup this past winter.

box jumps seem like a nice addition to the leg workout, i dont think ive ever done plyometrics for my legs before yesterday. need to up my vert game, in case i need to jump really high, or kick something. lol

and yea ive heard of 909 boys, ive got at least one of their albums in my archives. i want to say theyre from riverside ca.
