You know, I just may have a Yoshino as well. I found this one as a sapling when I bought the property, and I transplanted it here. So, I'm not 100% sure of the genus. The previous owner had a small nursery, and there were various ornamental plants growing wild everywhere. The property had been abandoned for years.

I also bought the wisteria next to it from a lady who was dying of cancer about 50 miles away, and wanted her lovely plants to go to good homes because she knew her children would sell her house when she passed. So she said that if anyone loved trees enough that they would dig them out of the ground, that she would know that they found a good home. It took me a lot of work to dig it out, as it was already 40 years old when I got it.

I think it's Oshima-zakura.

Oshima-zakura is whiter than Someiyoshino, which is white blossom tinged with pink, and also the former is one of the hybrid parents of the latter.

This wisteria started life as a potted porch plant. I planted it here, and this photo is many years old. The tree has gotten so large that it's grown all the way up to the top of the pergola and completely covers it with a shade canopy. Every year I have to trim it to keep it off the house and the surrounding trees, or it will take over, lol

I love Wisteria because my mother loves it.



Also my favorite tv show was set on "Wisteria Lane", a street in the fictional town.

Many small parks in Japanese town has Wisteria, it's beautiful.

Couple days ago I used the Too Good To Go app for 711. Outside there was a guy that asked me for some change to, coincidentally, "to buy a sandwich." So I grabbed my bag and it had two sandwiches. I came out and said "Do you want a roast beef sandwich then? It expired yesterday"

He said "No thank you".

Then I ate two sandwiches. The other was a pizza sub, maybe I should have offered that but he said sandwich.

i like that man, its got a nice laid back sound to it. you got me curious about their other work though, apparently fun lovin criminals has 6 albums, but ive only ever heard their first. im gonna have to listen to their other albums too
