public gyms are nowhere near as cool as home gyms, especially if you have almost all of the equipment that would be at a public gym anyway.
i hope this country doesnt get flushed down the toilet with socialism, and im able to buy a bigger house and more specialized gym equipment.
it would be really cool to get some land with a giant pond and a jogging track around its perimeter too.

Not much, it’s pretty controlled tbh. Have to wear a mask, hourly limits, air purifiers. I try to keep my level of caution in line with the actual risk.
Tbh I’ve gotten used to home workouts now, so my plan is to complement with gym sessions every 4/5 days. I’ll just go heavier and do the stuff I can’t do at home.
It definitely more convenient to workout at home.𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖘𝖊 𝖆 𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖈𝕶, 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖘𝖊 𝖆 𝖇𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍

I first got into working out at home with a home gym and it was many years before I ever experienced any kind of commercial gym.
It wasn’t necessary but I ended up starting to go to a commercial gym because it was fun to use different equipment, see people, and actually leave the house to go workout etc. and mix up the environment.
But honestly right now, being safe is my priority. Working out at home works.- Your mindset influences your outcome. Sure, if you're in an at-risk group yourself or frequently around people that are, then be more cautious.
If not, I say you're going overboard. Think about how much precaution you take for flu every year and multiply it by 3, and that's a generous upper bound.
I wear a mask indoors around other people and avoid crowds. That's the extent of it.𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖘𝖊 𝖆 𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖈𝕶, 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖘𝖊 𝖆 𝖇𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍

I generally agree with what you are saying and risk and going overboard but everyone's level of what they want to risk will be different. I know two close friends that have had it and they were absolutely miserable, on inhalers and scared they wouldn't be able to breathe enough to live. A guy I have met through them got it and was hospitalized on a ventilator and was surprised to survive. He is 42 and in good health, they are late 30s and good health. Now I know I could get it and be asymptomatic but for me if going to the gym increases my risk of getting Covid by just .001% it's still not worth it to me at this point in time. About the only thing worth the risk for me individually at this point is going to work and small family gatherings with chairs spaces 6 feet apart or more.

People of all ages and people who were otherwise healthy beforehand have gotten severely ill and some have died because of this virus. It’s not just people with prior health conditions or who are older who are at risk for severe illness or death.
200k+ killed with still climbing rates is an atrocity.
I don't think wearing masks, socially distancing, and avoiding certain public places that aren't essential is overboard at all.Last edited by health4life24; 09-24-2020 at 09:43 AM.

We have very different anecdotal stories. Every healthy person I know had a light fever at worst, two completely asymptomatic ~ 5 people I personally know about.
But glad to have that information. You said "good health" but were they overweight, or very fit and healthy?
Gym was super quiet btw, there was like 5 people in the entire gym. Felt very safe.Last edited by Luc1fer; 09-24-2020 at 09:36 AM.

All 3 of those people mentioned were nearly in perfect health. The 42 year old probably overweight by BMI standards but underweight of your average American for sure.
So I know one that tested positive and was less than miserable. Being in NY I am sure I know others that had it and ar asymptomatic. Again, I know the stats of getting it and how bad it would be. Going to the gym just isn't something worth increasing my chances.
And that sounds like a decent situation. I drive by my gym and there are 209 cars in the lot. LoL

Have a good weekend X men and woman. What’re y’all doing this weekend at home (or going out)?
