Pretty much every gym in my area that recently opened has had to shut down due to a Covid outbreak. Guess I am just working out from home till Covid is over. Not worth havign to wipe down everything to perfection a quadrillion time and wear a mask while working out while risking infection IMO. Home workouts aren't as effective for me due to lack of equipment but going to the gym just isn't worth it right now, for me.

I’ve tried sticking to an altered fitness routine and stuff, tried focusing on the important things and what I could actually control, but I’ve still ****ed everything up and idk how I’m gonna come back from it this time. Idk what the **** happened the last 3 months. I’ve screwed everything up.
- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

well, i just hope it doesnt come to that. i want things to go back to normal where the economy is going strong, and you dont have to worry that 1000 lunatics might show up in your front yard with molotov cocktails
any sane person would be centrist, maybe lean a little to one side or the other but definitely not far extremist. the thing that bothers me is that the mainstream is 100% across the board full on fringe left wing activist.
hey bro, i was thinking about you the other day hoping the oregon fires hadnt affected you and that baller property of yours.
i assume that since youre on here that means youre all good.
yes, this year has been screwed up. the worst part is seeing all the riots going on and the mainstream acting like cheerleaders for it, and the DAs just dropping charges on rioters.
btw, theres been 5 people arrested for starting grass fires on the wast coast, and the media isnt even talking about it, they call it climate change.
just out of curiosity, what happened man?
but if you dont want to talk about it thats cool too, il just rep you and hope you figure a solution out.Merica

Yeah, air quality here has been bad. One of the fires is 1/2 mile from my house, but it's 100% contained now. Took a few days off work, because the shop doors have to be open a lot of the time to load and unload trucks and whatnot, and the smoke has been pretty hard on my lungs. But it's a lot better today, after the thundersorms and rain.
So they pull up and say, "Get in! No time to explain!"
You getting in?

Hope we go somewhere without forest fire smoke.
I actually put my gym membership on hold until mid october thinking I would just ride my bike again. My resting HR is almost 70 according to my rarely used garmin watch. But with this smoke I've just been staying inside, I guess I should have bought a skipping rope

Has the forest fires affected your ability to ride the bike because of breathing in the smoke?

alcohol?
if you beat it once you can beat it again. the whole world basically went to hell over the last 6 months so its understandable something like this can happen. dont beat yourself up about it, just take control of the situation. i believe in you
i know that feel, air quality in the puget sound area has been terrible for the last week as well, but fortunately it rained yesterday, and weve got more supposedly coming in so itl help clean the air and help stop fires from spreading.
fires were close to my house as well, but not within 1/2 mile. thats fukn scary. glad youre ok though broMerica

damn dude, thats a great song. i really need to listen to more oldschool east coast rap. i feel like ive been completely closed minded and only listened to west coast and texas rap. residual biases from living in CA and not paying attention to rap from new york
das it mane, alcohol is completely over rated. i used to drink heavily in high school and college but i just got tired of the hangovers, and the drama of other peoples bullsh_t. seems like every time id go out drinking, my friends would act like idiots, and id get into fights.
but i think the most unappealing aspect of drinking is the excess calories.Merica

East Coast style hits hard.
I've been listening to rap since Blowfly started the genre in the late 70's. Used to have to ask for his records at the front desk of the record store because they were considered x-rated, and they kept them behind the counter. And his stuff is nastier and more "offensive" than any of this trash talking modern rap. Look up his song Rapp Dirty. I won't post it on the forums bc some snowflake will report it, srs.

never heard that song before either, but i recognize that more bounce to the ounce beat. nothing like the oldschool rap. IMO its a style of music that is completely misunderstood by most people, especially those who dont listen to it. they seem to think its some trash modern pop music but dont realize its a style that has been evolving since the 70s with oldschool funk music.

Any hesitation on going back?
How much time does all the Covid cleaning etc add to your workout? I am figuring between driving to and from the gym on top of all the equipment cleaning I am saving 30min continuing my home workouts.
Don't let me change your mind. I'm just your typical twink miscer. Pink dumbbells and yoga is all I need.
