I am suspicious that incentives are influencing news, policies, censorship etc.

I am especially skeptical of the push to vaccinate young children.

Incentives have always influenced news, at the end of the day news is business, businesses want to make money. I think time has taken many news outfits from a we will get erate the most revenue by providing credible news, to how do we get the most viewers and clicks to increase that revenue.

Vaccination of children makes sense to me. We are seeing a tremendous rise of hospitalizations of children with new variants and unvaccinated children are more robust carriers and spreaders of the virus than unvaccinated and we currently have a drastic rise in cases in the overall population in 47 out of the 48 states.

Yea, the media is more of the problem, as they control the narratives. I’d say in the south, many people feel that the messages have been mixed and have lost trust. I’m a moderate/Independent so I’m able to see it from both “sides.” Do you lean conservative?

I'm moderate tbh. I'd say "lost trust" fairly describes my position.

Without deep diving into source data, it's difficult to know what information to trust.

I'm vaccinated but still wear a mask in most indoor public settings (minus the gym). And I plan to continue to do that for the time being. I have loosened up a bit, and also took a break from checking the news entirely. No checking COVID news or daily case counts or anything. Felt good, definitely think it helped.

What's frustrating and sad is we had made some great progress getting the cases down from what I've heard, and now we are heading back in the wrong direction. And so much of it is a bunch of political nonsense. People and the media purposely putting out false information to try and influence people to not get the vaccine, etc.

I feel for the health care workers. And they're ridiculed and criticized for trying to urge people to get vaccinated and take precautions to slow the spread of the virus. So wrong.

Have had some storm work, it varies. Just cleaned up an uprooted tree that fell into another tree last week.

I primarily do a lot of pruning / trimming work, which I enjoy probably the most out of all tree service tasks.

Focusing on tree preservation through proper pruning and maintenance versus total removal if a tree is healthy enough to be saved. Some people think they have to remove a tree because it’s overgrown or is providing too much shade or has deadwood or hazardous branches but many of these types of issues can be resolved by proper tree pruning and maintenance.
