believe me man, i would love to hose down some sidewalks in downtown seattle. so many homeless people here its like a plague. and the way the govt gives all these free hand outs to them makes you really wonder. its rewarding bad behavior, and the responsible middle class has to suffer because of it.

I'm back to work! Working from home for now.
What a crazy sad weekend. I think we need to start paying police officers more, make the job itself more professional. And if you have a few complaints over brutality, you should be fired. The guy who murdered Floyd had 18 former complaints. What?
Anyway, hope ya'll are doing okay.

Who doesn't get hard when their booty hole gets stretched?
In some areas law enforcement is literally the scum of the earth. Oh you dropped out of high school, have low IQ, and mental health issues? Hired! ... And I have respect for cops, not one bad apple means they are all bad, that must be said. But the the reality is the standard needs to be raised in many areas of the country who they are hiring for these very important roles in society.

its hard to say, but honestly i think this incident was more about police brutality on a known felon. the guy who was murdered had been sent to prison for breaking into a womans home and robbing her at gun point. but the media wont talk about any of that, they just want to dump fuel on the fire screaming racist this, racist that, go fuk up white people and call it justice...

College degree doesn’t mean anything. It doesn’t automatically mean you are better at whatever you’re doing than someone who doesn’t have a degree.
Also, not anyone can just walk in and be a cop.
And the process to qualify is pretty damn extensive from what I understand. And it’s not guaranteed you’ll ever make it and be a cop.- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

Some police units have literally no qualifications needed besides being over 18. And I'd say a college degree gives you a different standard of person, as well as an education. You say that like someone who doesn't have a degree and is just angry about the statement. A degree does mean something and hold value even though some people do act as if it's more than it is.

A degree doesn’t necessarily guarantee you anything though. You can be just as successful without one as someone who does have one. And college doesn’t teach you everything you need to know in my opinion. Just because someone has a degree doesn’t mean they’re gonna automatically do a better job than someone without one.
I’m not angry. I’m stating a fact. How many people get a degree and get thousands of dollars in debt only to not use the degree.
I’m not knocking anyone who has one and I’m not saying that college is a waste altogether. That’s not what I’m saying at all. And some people need one for what they want to do.
But people sometimes act as if having a college degree puts you better off than someone who doesn’t and that’s not always the case.
I don’t think there’s any one way that’s right, I think it all depends on what a person is setting out to do. Sometimes college is beneficial, sometimes it’s not.Last edited by health4life24; 06-03-2020 at 03:55 AM.

^ agreed... Many people without degrees end up happier and more successful than those with. However IMO jobs like police officer would get better candidates overall if a degree was required. That's not to say they wouldn't miss out on candidates that don't have a degree that would be as good or better, but IMO they'd get less scum cops by increasing requirements for the job.
