league consistently has brought in more players and viewers, especially internationally with china and korea.
Dota's prize pools have always been much much higher though, probably because owned by valve, although league is a billion dollar industry now probably still won't see them shelling out much for prizepools since they really don't need to.

seriously lol. i played it back when the guy first made it on starcraft 1 or brood war, and then played it a **** ton on wc3. blizzard being rich as **** as they are should've offered the guy some good money or a job. but icefrog did good for himself. but guinsoo did way better with league of legends. icefrog pretty much just copied and pasted his ****.

League is a dead game
You might get the impression that it's not by looking at twitch numbers but if you click you would realize almost every single one of those streamers are Third World country foreigners from South America and China and their behind the times poor people 3rd world audience making up the bulk of those numbers
I am going to spectate in VR screaming as we march up that final lane together

Weird. Last 2 times I've watched DOTA matches they were being casted from some dudes house, with a bunch of guys in socks and shorts sitting on a couch. Meanwhile League is in the same arena where Usain Bolt broke the 100m record.
Guess Valve really does boost the prize money?ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

I decided I wanted to watch every Fnatic game for sure this year. DJ is electric. His plays at The Summit were just disgusting.
I honestly felt like they were one of the weaker TI teams, but they've shown up pretty big so far. EE cost them that first game against Liquid with his random fEEd's, but otherwise they look solid.

league is far from dead bro, get real. it still is hailed as the top moba worldwide, and top 5, if not #1 most played game all throughout asia, you can look at any asian streaming site and just see the numbers.
As far as NA goes, yeah it really just isn't that big when you compare it to games like fortnite.
We don't really have the pro esports support culture like asia does.
There isn't much to follow either since our competitive scene here has become beyond a joke.
Don't really blame the league pros either they've tried bringing in import players but still consistently get dumpstered every single year by foreigners so people just stopped caring as much and just stream.
I myself have quit the game, and hold a grudge against riot for destroying ADCS, but to call the game dead just isn't true.

NA teams have better support culture than most korean teams at this point lol. problem is NA pro's treat it as a hobby. why tryhard when your already getting paid yuge money from your contract + stream revenue, and when your only going to play professionaly for a few years?
