I've been having issues with abs cramping while training them for some time now. I've taken salt and magnesium with my preworkout and it just doesn't seem to help. Any idea's on what it could be?

Lack of Potassium? I used get those occasionally too just one or two abs would stick out like an alien was coming out of my belly (not to mention painful muscle contraction after a couple seconds). I haven't had that that I can recall since I started eating a LOT of cauliflower. I eat about 20oz of riced cauliflower per day which is about 1700+mg potassium in addition to other sources I get. Any of the electrolytes out of whack can cause cramping.
Keto friendly high potassium foods bro-collie, cauliflower, mushrooms, spinach, probably kale etc. I still continue to keep them as high satiation foods when running a small surplus and including carbs...Last edited by Plateauplower; 08-14-2018 at 08:38 AM.

I've become a riced cauliflower fiend. Srs I got in the habit of actually eating more veg running a keto diet for 6 months. Wash/ dry the cauliflower and break up the heads and run it through a food processor. I make two large heads at a time and fill a big Tupperware container. About every night for dinner I throw 20oz of that (140 cals mostly protein and fiber) into a big skillet with some mushrooms and add some seasonings (currently "pork Barrel BBQ" - no sugar) it cooks for about 10-12 minutes on high heat and I throw in steak, pork, chicken for a big azz bowl of food. Pretty good topped with cheese/butter etc if you can fit the cals. Its seriously my favorite meal right now and I am making myself hungry just thinking about it. Downside is I spend $15 per week on cauliflower....
Grilled boneless skinless chicken thighs or Pork shoulder with "G Hughes Sugar free BBQ" over a big mound of bro-colli is also really good and can be "keto-friendly". I was able to stay in dietary ketosis measured with a blood meter eating up to 1g/protein per day and a nearly 2lbs of veg per day (10oz bro-collie, 20oz cauliflower). I didn't care about ketone level as much as satiation...
