Deload Day Full Body
Tuesday:
First Deload session of the week!
Centered the workout around Squats..
Took 2/3 a serving of Hyde NitroX with chilled water.
It is indeed one of the best flavored pre out there (nailed the Lolipop flavor)
However, the effects didn't follow up :/

Lat Pulldown (10 x front and 10 x rear delt variation)

Dumbbell Side Lat Raises

-20 x 40
Barbell Deadlift
-5 x 135
-5 x 225
-5 x 275
Barbell Row (negative reps)
-10 x 85lbs
-10 x 105lbs
-8 x 155lbs
Even for a Deload session, this workout was meh.
Had the mindset to do a few sets of 5 x 365 for Squats but didn't come close..
And a few sets of 5 x 315 for Deadlifts :/
But the highlight was side delt raises. Nailed 20 for 40lbs.
And the thermogenic effects was distinct (sweated a lot throughout the session).
All in all, I see this as a great PWO for aerobic exercises and/or high volume.. but not so much for heavy poundage.
Will keep giving it a go throughout the month!

Good start and Lollypop flavor sounds tasty and I've only tasted one supplement in that
Dragon Fruit flavor and that was Myokem's pre which I thought was pretty good and being
that the bcaa's has no stimulants to mask it should taste good.
I've always mentioned in my PW reviews that I change up pre's each workout because of
the stimulants which work for certain body parts and workouts and in this instance it seems
like this one just wasn't what you needed for the type of workout you were doing. Maybe the
next use will be more to your liking if it's more reps and volume.

That's a strong deload session lol... How did the GABBA effect you this time around with the 2/3 usage? How did your head feel in general during the workout?
This is a very good example to follow. Since I'm a rep, and only get ProSupps products, I've been taking HYDE and JEKYLL for a long long time... I prefer taking one over the other for certain muscle groups and certain types of training. Whether it's a heavy day, hypertrophy day, or even a volume day. For my, heavy days I'll take half a dose of HYDE, as I don't want the elevated HR where it feels like my heart is pounding through my chest on those heavy ass lifts. On hypertrophy days, I don't care of the stimulants, so I'll switch over to JEKYLL (I know you're not sampling this now, but it's worth mentioning the differences), as it'll give me the PUMP that I want. For an all out volume day, I need a little of both, so I take both.
I'm curious to see how your workouts feel as you experiment more with the preworkout.
BTW, how was the Intra for your during this time? I know it doesn't give you that immediate effect like preworkouts, but I'd also like to hear your thoughts on it as you're experimenting with the dosages on that as well.

This one doesn't quite nail the DragonFruit right, and it's far from the recommended fluid amount (I prefer 1/2 a serving with 20+ oz water, which is like quadruple the amount)
But all in all, I do like how unique it is.. and it almost resembles a refreshing drink (teavana)
It took me like 5 tries to get it right, but it ended up being great
Going to try this for HIIT cardio tomorrow at a park, so hopefully it turns out well

Agree,
But still shocking how far off the recommendation is.
It says 1 scoop for 8-10oz
I couldn't stand the strong perfume-like flavor (I'd rate it 1/10), so I pm'd @toneekay about it.
What a guy
He knows his product in and out, and recommended I take 1 scoop per 40oz And it tastes great with his rec.

LOL! I didn't recommend 40oz water did I? Although a lot of products recommend a 8-10oz cup of water added, or whatever the doses are, us as consumers will always have to adjust where needed. I don't want to say our products are overly concentrated, because some are, but others with a lesser flavor may meet these requirements which have been printed on the label.
A typical shaker bottle is what, 20oz or so? For the prewo, I would say MOST flavors are good with about 10-15oz. For the intras, depending on flavor, upwards of 30oz of water would be ideal. This is my opinion on our products, and I'm not a big fan of super sweet stuff either, so for me, the more watered down the better. Naturally, the more ingredients in a product will have to be offset with more "flavoring" thus creating some less than ideal water to product ratio.
