    Fire in the hole!!!

    Ok, not quite... but close.
Whenever I attempt Lunges, Bulgarian Split Squats, etc... i get this incredible pain, like someone jabbing a hot needle right into my upper asscrack/tailbone area. :O
I have zero issue with regular squats, deadlifts or leg press. Seems to happen more with my right leg out. Seems to be isolated to single leg hamstring type moves.
Pinched nerve or something like that?
Any kinds of stretch or mobility move for that area that maybe could alleviate this issue?
    Very strange!

Ouch! Has there been an obvious impact, such as from falling? The tailbone tends to be ignored until it hurts, but there are ligaments in there that can be strained from the exercises you mentioned.

All I know is if you feel pain like that, you should take a step back and give those exercises a break. I don't know about a pinched nerve. You definitely don't want to injur that area or you will be out of commission for potentially a while and carrying a doughnut around to sit on.

There are yoga stretches that impact this area - triangle, bow, and child's poses may help.

No fall or anything, and zero discomfort in that area at any other time.
There is no "break" to take because I literally can't do these types of moves. Any time I try, i get that crazy needle pain.
The program I'm following will change up some of the accessory moves every so often. When it started to call for lunges, I was able to do them at first but then this starting happening. But like I said, nothing happened that I can think of, as far as any kind of fall or anything like that.

I'll give some of those yoga stretches a shot, see if it helps any.

That's good about no falling that you know of. Possibly just the muscles in that area causing stress that is most accute while you are doing lunges and split squats. Hopefully it gets better with some stretching and avoidance of those exercises. Good luck.

I suggest seeing a PT or chiropractor that works with athletes.
Anyone here is just speculation on a solution.

^^^ Good advice as well, as always. If you suspect you are injured, you should see a doc.
