Problem with that is people start AFKing if the quick wins don't happen. People want to play the meta if the meta is available. This AV isn't PvP OR PvE... it's MMOracing. They should patch it and fix it. WSG will be for small scale, AB mid-size fighting and AV large scale.

AV is an absolute joke right now. It sure is nice though if you are alliance since they win the zerg rush 95% of the time and get rep twice as fast. I was watching this streamer and after turning in the 3 marks he'd be getting 600 rep every 8 minute game compared to around 300 playing as horde and losing every time. It took me a solid 10+ games to finally complete that quest to win 1 AV so I could get the ice barbed spear on my 51 warrior.

I noticed this trend develop during the day yesterday.

Horde was winning in 6 minutes every game for the first 3 hours. Then people started broadcasting in raid chat that you can get more honor by killing Balinda and the Lt's. This caused a split at first with half the raid zerging to Vann and half doing the more honor. It then took around 10 mins to complete. The Ally could reliably zerg in 7-8 mins.

It is true you get more honor killing Bal, but you get less rep. It is around 33% more rep and shorter games.

Glad I went alliance human, will be easy to get exhalted. Played for like hour and half, got a lot of the quests done and almost honored. Ready to grab those daggers

The only thing not available is the caster ring I think. The warrior who got exalted showed a pic of the vendor having the shield, dagger, 2H mace, and melee ring

Doesn't seem like my server is very good. I just don't see a ton of people and never have a queue. Not sure if I'll want to stay here or not

If people want longer games then spam a macro telling your team to defend and wipe alliance at Galv, that will gaurentee you a nice long turtle match lol

That was the case on retail too though.

Ya basically every game on horde side some moron is spamming chat to go for certain objectives because you get more honor even if you lose. I think people fail to realize getting more honor than the opposite faction means literally nothing. All its going to do is screw over anyone else in your faction that wants to PvP outside of AV because the bar for honor earned is going to be set so high if this trend continues.

I want to keep playing, but tbh I don't see a point. I'm so far behind at this point that catching up to the no-lifers will be impossible, and on top of that, WoW is one of those games where if you're under-geared you can't have any fun. This was a fun experiment, but I've deduced that vanilla was a sh!t game if you're anything but a no-lifer player.

I pretty much just raid 2x per week now and have no problems; people are good enough that many MC raids can do just fine with ~30 people so getting in even with bad gear or not even level 60 isn't hard.

What did you expect when you started to play or did you not play vanilla? I remember I couldn't even play enough to finish an AV most of the time back in the day when I hit 60 lol.

They win every turtle because Horde is actually forced to use strategy for consistent AV victories, whereas Alliance is filled with derpers who only know how to zerg.

There's so many alliance on there bragging about winning non stop AV's even though they have a clear advantage in an 8 min zerg game that consists of literally no PvP whatsoever. It's kind of embarassing, but more insane is how classic AV was exposed for being the same zergfest.

But when you think about it, it makes sense. There's so much open land in AV that's miles from the towers, so you never get slowed down. Run straight for the boss.

If you have a superior PVP team I think you should just meet them in Field of Strife and wipe them.

Alliance win easily if no horde defend,

but I am winning games now when 8-10 horde stay to defend at Drek, we wipe them pretty easily and then start heading north to join the offense

It's much more fun to play on defence and wipe them imo. then we win in 16-20 minutes because all alliance want to do is zerg and they never defend

horde are learning. Been about 50% winrate last 2 days. Best strat is everyone on D intercepting the lvl 40 mounts in mid and killing them, then wait til they come out from glav and try to kill the low ones, then chokepoint ect. Just slow them down best you can and keep moving back. have rogues on offense right away capping north.

Literally a prot warrior is going to be standing 1 on my server because he hasn't logged off. A prot warrior is pvp standing 1. Just lol. Meanwhile, I get punished for getting exalted wsg and beating the fuk out of every horde premade with a sick wsg team.

P1 layers, the batching, the leeway, and now this, it's just too much for me, and I've come to realize this game is just bad and not at all worth it. Gonna let sub time expire and just play premade wsg until it's out. Shouldn't have expected any less from blizz I guess.

Was vanilla pvp any different though? The rank system never rewarded skill it was purely a time sink for someone with no life or account sharing. It's funny actually watching old pvp vids and seeing how bad high ranked people were with their keyboard turning and clicking. That's pretty nuts you already hit exalted with wsg though how many hours did that take? I heard they don't even have any of the WSG rep rewards available until later phases

I've noticed the past few days though horde actually trying to win AV which is nice instead of just letting alliance zerg to 8m victories.

Never wow'd but how is it true pvp if the gear is not equalized? Got into GW2 over the summer you can pvp and raid from the very start with no grind. The pvp is gear equalized, horizontal gear progression in pve. No subscription fees either.

I quit because I thought about it and there's just no point to playing the game. Everything is a boring grind there's never going to be anything new and fun to do or look forward to.

I quit as Phase 2 was coming out. I realized that after I dinged 60, got most of the pre-raid BiS from dungeons, and some BiS from MC/Ony, that the game had lost its excitement for me. I found myself not really wanting to play, and just coming on for the guild's weekly raid times. Seemed boring lol unless I made an alt and got myself back on the 5+ hours per work day (10+ hours per off day) schedule, which I didn't wanna do.
