They're actually disgusting in pvp when geared. But I'm forgetting that we're locked into patch 1.12. At the beginning of Vanilla they weren't as strong, and were shard/healthstone bitches. And I learned after the fact that alot of raid mobs were patched to not give soul shards so locks were leaving raids to go farm em, lol.

Was the patch at the time those videos were made completely different than whats in classic? How on earth do warriors beat everything and warlocks are apparently the worst class in the game? lol

Classic is awesome, but spell batching, leeway, and the tons of awful bugs (especially with hunters) ruin this game.

And I'll never understand... Why can't hunters shoot you in the face at point blank range, yet melee leeway was implemented, which allows melee to hit you from 10-20 yeards away? Dafuq?

But yeah spell batching is beyond horrendous. Just a total dumpster fire. Can't believe those subhuman no changes *******s petitioned to get it implemented. Game will be sh!t until it's removed/reduced.

SIGH. On another note, I have a 50 warlock and 38 hunter. Hunter is loads more fun, but with all their problems and the fact that they fall off late-game, I'm not sure if I should just stick to the lock or continue the hunter.

Spell batching was implemented into classic to simulate bad internet connections/lag from vanilla days. Srs. It's 400ms, which is almost half a second. There IS spell batching in retail, but it's a hell of a lot lower than 400ms.

Did MC yesterday with my guild for the first time, we only had one warlock; 4/5 bosses we downed dropped warlock gear. Lucky bastard. With 35 people, 5 not even 60, we got to Baron in ~2.5 hours, not bad since it was our first all guild run.

I think Zackad and Titansfan IIRC. Zackad doesn't no-life enough to be consistent though. There's a few others I'm forgetting.

There's some good tips in that video as well, such as shadow reflecting curse of recklessness on you so you cant be death coiled/feared for 2 min.

I can't even imagine the tricks people have come up with over the years. Several pvpers have brough up novel things regarding gear/rotations that I never heard of in Classic or private servers.

Judging by their gear (and the fact its World of Roguecraft 1) I'm pretty sure this was early to mid Vanilla, like late 2005-early 2006.

Patch 1.12, which is the patch on WoW Classic, was released in August 2006 and Warlocks were apparently buffed by then (but always second to mages). I just remember some warriors being able to one-shot people with decent gear. Imagine a Mortal strike for 50%+ of your health, lawd.

I'll be honest, the hunter is LOADS more fun than the Warlock, but I keep hearing the lock will be objectively better in PvP/PvE at 60 as well as more wanted/needed for everything (plus there are less Warlocks AND Hunters have a lot of bugs). I'd honestly rather play the Hunter, but I'm gonna force myself to get the Warlock to 60 and hope I get back into it. At the moment the Warlock is painful to play... Immolate and send pet, CoA, Corruption, then wand. Every. Single. Mob. Maybe a Shadowbolt here and there, but it's not mana efficient. I was Affliction, but respecced to Demon for the OPAsFuk Master Demonologist + Soul Link. Plus Siphon Life was garbage.

Hunters rotation is not any better lol. Killing mobs sucks for everyone unless you're a mage. I'm lovin my lock way more than mage but killing mobs, even juggling and killing 3-4 at one time seems like a chore compared to playing my mage where you can kill 20+. Just love the warlock skills way more and the darkness of all of it even if it is slower.

Fear is fukin OP in PVE too

brb elite mob, just DoT and keep fearing it. No diminishing returns.

I leveled a Warlock to 52 and then stopped and leveled a Warrior all the way to 60 and am now raiding MC with that warrior (currently with the most dkp of any warrior in my raid group - gunning for that Spinal Reaper/Bonereaver's Edge).
Warlock has a certain tedious nature for pve - there is just so much setup. Whereas the warrior or other melee classes can just jump from mob to mob without having to create shards, drink mana, heal pet, dismiss pet, summon pet, create healthstone, create soulstone, etc.
Spec has a lot of play though - destro is pretty fun with all the burst potential but is a mana sink.

That all being said, in pvp it's easy to see how strong Warlocks are even at my current of 55. Now with pvp coming out I've decided to level the Warlock to 60 and relegate my fury warrior to more of a pve position.

That's another thing I don't like about the lock. After every death I gotta resummon, rebuff demon armor, make another HS and SS, then eat/drink. On the hunter I just resummoned pet (half the cast time of the lock pet summon btw), then insta-popped my aura and was good to go.

Question for ya since you raid... Are warlocks in demand? And are hunters NOT in demand? Just curious.

I know, but the 600k should be enough sample size to show the ratios of pops between servers, classes and factions. The total may still increase but I think the ratio will remain almost the same.

Everyone uploading the addon will only refine the numbers but each player upload will provide the approximate population details when they played.

The one I posted is more accurate since it counts the online players during the time the uploader played. If you look at Sulfuras, there's already 12k+ alliance vs 4k+ horde. In your link, its only showing a total of 2.6k players in sulfuras.

In Faerlina, there is already about 23k players vs only 5k+ from your source.

So I need some profession advice... I have a 50 lock with skinning/herbalism for money making, but know I eventually need tailoring. I'm planning to drop skinning (it makes no money) for tailoring. Then I have a 38 hunter who's a skinner/miner, but I'm heard alchemy makes tons of money from pots, so I'm thinking of dropping skinning for alchemy, then funneling herbs from my lock to my hunter to level it. Would this be lucrative?

Also, when does herbalism make money? I've barely made anything from herbalism on my 50 lock. I've made more gold with mining on my 38 hunter...

I always thought gathering prof makes more money than crafting.

Skinning > Leatherworking
Mining > Blacksmithing
Herbalism > Alchemy
Etc etc.

Because if you have it paired, you won't be able to earn much from gathering since you need mats you gathered to level up your crafting.
And unless you spend all your time gathering, you might even need to buy mats from AH just to level your crafting. I'm sure you'll feel that itch.

I have skinning and herb now and I just don't farm a lot but it still makes a lot of money from the AH. I will only change them when I get my epic mount when I reach 60. Or maybe maintain them and do crafting from my alt.

Nice man. My net is chit too, have consistent packet loss.

Maybe someone will have more input, but for your first main you should get 1-2 gathering professions, or 1 gathering and 1 crafting that utilizes those gathered mats.

So Herb/Alchemy, Mining/Smithing, Skinning/Leatherworking, etc. I decided to do Mining/Herb on my main because I made bank on Nostalrius with Herb, but clearly their spawn nodes were overtuned.

it has been a bitch and a half finding an SM group as a 31 lock on my server. Maybe because yesterday was the honor system implementation but I sat there spamming in LFG only to find a couple people wanting to run. Couldn't find a tank so I just gave up. Everyone else is spamming for their Molten Core recruiting raid and higher level dungeons


Should have fckn made a UD warlock to begin with and I would have been 60 by now
