There are lots of new players who joined in due to the hype. I encountered mostly casters ganking me when I'm about less than half my life while killing mobs. I think they joined classic after hearing about the casters being OP in classic. But everytime I resurrect and come back, they don't know chit about their class. Either I 1 shot ambush them or they dont have damage at all.
I've always been a rogue and I hate pvping a rogue. One time I'm eating and when I'm about 75% health, a lvl 43 rogue opened on me. I was 41 that time so I thought I'm dead. He used all his combos/CDs and I'm still above 50% and then he popped up Prep so he got another fresh sets of CD. I could have blinded him between stuns but I let him reset. He finished his CDs again and I still have 500 hp lol. Blinded him, stealth without healing, ambushed him and he's dead after a backstab and some autoattacks. Didn't even get to use kidney shot but I'm down to about 50 hp lol.
I wonder what level gears he got at 43 and if he ever upgrade his skills. There will be a lot of ganking when honor system starts. Will be lots of fun.

yeah was very mehh. Also at the end reality being reflected upside down...I was thinking oh we Stranger Things now huh.
If they really want to get some excitement, they should do something with all of Azeroth being "upside down" or something massive like that, not another 5-zone expansion with a race through 5-levels thats over in a week and old and tired dungeons and raids.Stern Crew

I recommend learning about the lore behind the dungeons, it's pretty interesting. The story in Vanilla is less clear but basically picks up from multiple WC3 plotlines while adding multiple unrelated plotlines. Basically:
-Eastern Kingdoms are recovering from the scourge invasion
-Kalimdor is recovering from the war with the Burning Legion
-Orgrimmar fully established by Thrall. Undercity established by the newly freed Forsaken.
-Arthas is presumably in Northrend assembling his armies
-The dark iron dwarves are devising a way to bring Ragnaros into Azeroth
-Onyxia is actually involved with an attempt to take control of Stormwind
-Blackrock orcs are allied with Nefarian (I think)
-The imprisoned Old Gods are trying to break free, and C'Thun is the first to do it in Ahn Qiraj
-Kel'Thuzad attempts to pave the way for another Scourge Invasion with Naxxramas
And that's just a fraction of what's going on.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

after 15 years of WoW, I just saw a youtube movement keybinding video...
i have q e a s d as movement keys, i am not a keyboard turner though, i turn with the mouse and always have been.
ugh i dont know what to do, they said to unbind q and e and move with the mouse so you can keep q and e for different keybindings
i tried it out and its something that is going to take a looong time to get used to and just doesnt feel right to me after playing for so long with the default movement keys. i get why people do it after trying it though, however it feels incredibly unnatural to me
i still have played wow this entire time using everything keybinded with what makes me feel comfortable and its been fine, i have mostly pvped and done great. its why I play wow
so im not sure if i should make the transition, in which i will constantly misplay getting used to it, or continue to play how ive been playing that feels comfortable most but sacrifice a couple keybindings
has anyone ever ran across the same situation im in? i think the unbinding would probably be a better system but im not sure if i could ever get used to it after playing the way i have played for so many years
edit: think im gonna get rid of A and D (used to turn which i barely ever do) then instead of Q and E because im so used to strafing with Q and E. that will be much easier to get used to that way instead of unbinding the strafe keys ive always used.
after doing that this is much better. i have realized im so used to Q and E and never really used A and D instead of in town or some chit.Last edited by nn586; 11-07-2019 at 10:36 PM.

I don't use turn keys even before the vanilla since I've been playing some Asian MMOs in the past before vanilla's launch.
I use my A and D only for strafing. Q and E for me is macrod for MH weapon switching between a dagger and other main (sword or mace).
So only movement on my keyboard is bound on ASD & Space, A&D for strafe, S for moving back and space for the Jumping as in the default keybind.
I think it depends on the class. I play a rogue most time so it's positional.
Is there any advantage in moving to ESDF vs WASD? I think by hand position, WASD is better since its on the leftmost. But I guess it depends on whats comfortable to you.
I use WASD since I'm used to it and most mech keyboard comes with a unique WASD keys extra in the box. My WASD texture is rougher than the other keys so I can feel if I'm on the wrong key.Steam - jinda28

It's more natural to keep your hand at ESDF since you're doing it when typing anyway. It gives you 3 extra keybinds you can hit with pinky, AQZ, can also reach more number buttons up top. I'm not sure what the advantages of WASD is besides being used to it, or unless you can't reach shift button with your pinky for some reason.

It is not so much the major events as the small day-to-day decisions that map the course of our living. . . Our lives are, in reality, the sum total of our seemingly unimportant decisions and of our capacity to live by those decisions. ― Gordon B. Hinckley
