I wonder if streamers will get prioritized log in, otherwise the moment they announce a stream the server would get bricked and they would sit there for an hour+ waiting in the queue.

They got no special consideration in name reservation, doubt they get queue priority.

The thing is, they most likely will have little downtime the first week and after that will time their logins in the middle of the night and play 18 hours a day.

Only 5 days away before USA brahs get to play. STOKED. Hope y'all are too. Gonna stick to Herod, even if there's bad queue times.

Still undecided on if I'm going to focus on ALL professions I care about (Tailoring, Herbalism, Fishing, Cooking, First Aid) right after I hit level 10, and just upkeep them slowly based on the zones I'm in while leveling.... or wait till I reach 40, get a normal mount, and backtrack a bit to bring those professions back to up to speed thereafter. Leaning towards the latter idea, because it'll enable me to leave those early zones quicker if I focus on just leveling.

"Q: There is a bug in classic that exists in retail. Hunter and warlock pets take an absurd amount of time to respond to commands. So far, Blizzard has refused to even acknowledge this bug when people bring it up. Can you please acknowledge it and tell us when it will be fixed? Pets should not take ~1 second to respond to commands to attack, switch targets, or back off!

A: We’ve fixed several bugs with pet commands throughout the WoW Classic beta, thanks to a ton of super detailed reports from the beta and stress tests. As several posters have pointed out, we’ve resolved many of the issues with pet responsiveness already, and I can confirm that several recent bug fixes have brought Hunter and Warlock pet responsiveness well in line with their behavior in the Reference client. btw u cucks talking chit about alliance obv never raided vanilla lol alliance had a huge advantage on many fights (not all tho)

most top guilds were alliance even tho there were some very good horde guilds as well

and pvp wise, alliance eventually won most bgs except wsg

Apparently you can wait at character screen until "Enter World" lights up.

So this would mean that logging in a few hours early, and sitting there would be the best idea.

However, blizzard had said they will restart realms some time before launch.

Not sure if this means minutes before launch, or hours, or days.

I hope it means hours or days, rather than minutes. If they get those restarts in like 6 hours before launch, then logging in and sitting at character screen waiting for "Enter World" to light up seems to be the way to go.

Once that que forms, I can't imagine it will move fast at all. People who are there are there or a reason, not by accident, and they probably plan on spending hours in game. For the que to go down, people have to leave... my point here, people won't be leaving anytime soon after launch, so being in a 10k que = hours of waiting(I imagine the que will be tens of thousands long)

That's my plan anyway, log into realm and sit at character screen a few hours early, hope they don't restart minutes before launch, hope I don't get booted from server.

there is going to be a hard afk kick after 30 minutes, so the only logical time to login would be within 30 minutes of launch or so.

so what it means is even if you move your mouse and don't "afk" you will still get booted after 30 minutes is up, to prevent anyone from doing what you think you can do.

Debating whether or not to play. I don't doubt it would be fun. I just know I'll get sucked in.

Also what class to play. The one thing I learned from Emerald Dream is that you can never have enough mages. I was part of the AOE crew on Emerald Dream that would annhilate UBRS and dungeons with massive aoe.

So this 30 minute thing starts from the moment you enter character screen, not realm list screen, right? So like you could be staring at realm list for 10 minutes, then you click realm, get to character screen, then the 30 minute clock starts ticking, and you have the full 30 minutes, rather than only 20 before DC?(10 spent staring at realm list not counting)

Think I get it, in fact I just got DC'd right now 35 minutes after logging in, 5 minutes after logging in I switched realm... so this lines up with what you're saying

This is tricky actually, because time spent in que obviously won't count towards the 30 minute window. And there will be ques and hour or two before launch.

Like if you enter an hour before launch, and there's already a que, and that que's estimated time is that you'll get to character screen in 45 minutes, then that's a good place to be in, assuming that estimation is correct.

And like if you get into a que an hour before launch, and it says you'll be in character screen in 25 minutes, then that's not good... you'd prefer to be in a que that is 45 minutes long. (Sounds so backwards lol)

I'm worried about phase 2 when blizz turns off layering. If servers are still giant by then, 50k+, we're all sitting in a queue for hours.

Me and the IRL boyos switched off Herod to Stalagg. I'm not trying to 9-5 and wait in queues, even after layering is turned off.

Feelsbadman I wanted Herod but then I also read alot of multiboxers (an entire guild) are gonna be on Herod so i'm alright with the switch after all.
