A mum has caused outrage with her advice to young women about what men look for in the perfect wife.

Lori Alexander has shared her views in a controversial post, claiming women shouldn't go to university, should remain a virgin and should never, ever gets tattoos.




Unsurprisingly her message hasn't gone down well, and many people believe her views are actually extremely un-Christian and will be harmful to young women.

She shared her advice on her blog The Transformed Wife , which aims to advise younger people on marriage, raising children and homemaking.

She writes: "Do you know how much more attractive debt-free virgins (without tattoos) are to young men?
"Unfortunately, there are so few of these types of young women anymore because of the high costs of college (debt) and sexual promiscuity even within those in the church."

She goes on to say young women should "carefully consider whether or not they go to college, especially if they want to be wives and mothers someday".

Lori then lists conversations she's had with another woman about why girls shouldn't go to university, including missing out on the change to learn how to do gardening and cook meals for a large group of people.

She ends her post with the warning: "Young women, be wise in the path that you choose to walk on.

"Keep a long-term vision of your life and how you hope it will be someday instead of acting upon all of the 'what ifs…?' that many will throw at you.

"Trust God with your life, study the Word, and take the narrow path that leads to life. Stay virgins until marriage, out of debt, and don't get tattoos!"

Another commented: "I will take a sassy, smart, experienced, strong willed and intelligent tattooed woman over an arrogant, stuck-up self-righteous and sanctimonious prude of a hypocrite any day of the week.... Your ideas about what you think most men actually want as a companion in life is clearly way off."

I can understand different people want different things, but a lot of what she is talking about is really just how men are typically wired. Not to mention them getting upset says a lot about their insecurities and how they probably think deep down their tramp stamps were a bad idea. Thoughts?

Completely disagree with her stance on higher education though. The mother spends more time with the kids than the father (ideally). How are the kids going to learn the value of education when the mother doesn't? There's a reason why Asians do so well in schools. It's because the mothers drill the value of education into their kids' head (sometimes too much), and they all went to college themselves, even if they "only" ended up as housewives.

Of course, this depends on your own values as well. If you don't give a chit about how well your future kids do in school, then this can be disregarded.

It all comes from a fundamental misunderstanding on these women's part of how most men are innately wired. Less baggage is better, and there will likely always be another option out there that has less baggage.
