BPI Sports generously sent over a tub of their new iteration of One More Rep (Thanks to The Fugitive). I tested the product for taste and effectiveness. Here are my thoughts:
Raspberry Tea One More Rep BPI Sports Tub
The new formula of BPI's latest version of their pre-workout One More Rep is a significant departure from prior formulas. They have clearly shifted to a more natural and slightly lower-stim levels; generally, a move for an appeal among more potential consumers instead of just hardcore lifters and pre-workout junkies. I like the move, especially given the rest of the formula prioritizes good doses of effective performance-boosting ingredients. I really like the strong doses of l-citrulline (3 grams), beet root extract (500 mg), and N-acetyl l-cysteine (NAC). I also like the caffeine, theobromine, yohimbe extract stimulant combination, especially because it appears the caffeine dose is less than 300 mg (maybe even closer to 200 mg but I need confirmation on that). Some people have sensitivity to yohimbine so be wary of that as a consumer. The formula also has a gram of LCLT and a half gram of betaine. I would love to see a stronger betaine dose, but I like the conclusion of both ingredients. I put this formula at 8.5 out of 10. I don't know what the cost per serving and cost per tub will be yet, but it it is around a dollar per serving or less, it is a very competitive formula.

In terms of effects, One More Rep is fun to use. It provides smooth, steady, and strong energy. It is a little less intense than pre-workouts that have 300+ mgs of caffeine and other stims, but the energy is consistent and smooth. There aren't the strong side-effects of over-stimulation that accompanied some of the older iterations of One More Rep (1M.R.). However, One More Rep really shines in terms of improving blood flow and hastening and sustaining muscle pumps. During my hypertrophy workouts with One More Rep, I have worked up excellent pumps and sustained them throughout workouts. It seems like it does a really nice job of boosting nitric oxide production. One More Rep held its own in terms of supporting strength performance and delaying fatigue. I put the effects of at a 9 out of 10.
On flavor, I tried the raspberry tea flavor of One More Rep. I thought it was a novel flavor that was enjoyable to drink. It is a bold, somewhat heavy flavor that some, especially younger consumers, may find a little less exciting that an exotic fruity flavor. However, I think it was still very fun because it wasn't too sweet and hit the raspberry tea flavor on the hit. I put the flavor at an 8.5 out of 10.

I've been using this same flavor (almost done and review coming soon) but I love it man. Insane energy. I use 1MR on my "heavy" lifting days. Gets me freakin amped. Flavor is great too. Not hard to get down.
The 2 most important things to me when training are 1. The Muscle Mind Connection. and 2. Intensity
