So basically, I am going to start going to the gym soon, and I don’t know what I should eat before and after.
I am going to wake up at 6:30 get ready and take the bus to go to the gym at 8:10.
I arrive at the gym at 9 at start my workout.
I don’t know what to eat before in that window before 9.
It usually takes me 1:30 to complete my workout. So I finish at 10:30 and I then have to wait for my bus at 12:30 to get home later at about 1:20. I don’t know what to have after workout, because I have to wait like 3 hours before having lunch.
Can you please give me some info on what I should eat and when.
Thank you very much.

Eat what you want, eat it when you want; don't overthink it.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Eat whatever you want before the workout to allow you to train hard during the workout. If you can bring food with you and keep it in a gym bag while lifting (many gyms have lockers), you can easily bring whey protein to have a shake if you'd like after the workout. Other snacks you may want to bring include a granola bar or banana that you may want to have before lifting to help prevent getting hungry while training. Try different things and see what works best.
