The noob gainz continue...
Last night was deadlift night and I have to admit I wasn't feeling very "focused," but still went for it.
Deadlift:
135x12
225x5
225x5
315
335
365
385
315x8
The 315 set is a rep PR and I hadn't pulled 385 in years. I thought about trying 405, but 385 was a little "grindy," so I decided not to push it. Finished up with some pulldowns and rows and felt real good walking out of the gym. About two weeks ago I hit 365 and was like, "wow, it's been awhile." And last night I added 20 pounds to that. I haven't changed much about diet or stance - but it seems weird to credit such an insane jump in weight to creatine - a product I've used for years, but...I dunno what else to say.

Shoulders and Legs!
So...as Marshall just pointed out, my birthday was yesterday, so the diet was out. the. window. But before that I hit shoulders and legs pretty good.
Shoulders: I stuck with seated overhead press as I like that it allows me to press a little more weight. Worked up to 155. After that were trap bar farmers walks...worked up to 330. My forearms were screaming and full of those wonderful pumpz.
Legs were eeeeeeearrrrrrllllllly Saturday morning, but hey, hey, I set a PR. I hit 275 for a single which I've never done, so that was awesome. I did a walk out @315 and yeah, that's heavy. I put on 155 and hit 15 reps...was shooting for 20, but was gassed.
All in all two great workouts and yet another PR on Green Might. Tonight I hope to put all those extra calories to good use with a great chest session. We shall see

So...you ever have near your max on bench and hit the pins as you're pressing it up? Yeah, I did that last night. Still managed to complete the rep, but decided to lower the weight after that haha.
I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to accomplish at the gym last night, which is never good. All I wanted to do was have a decent workout because Tuesday suuuuucked. I just couldn't get into it on Tuesday and ended up giving up and leaving after like 3 sets. Not sure what the deal was. So, last night my goal was to just get after it and make sure I get work in - no specific numbers. I ended up flat benching - worked up to 245 and then DB flyes, and incline bench where I worked up to 185. Little triceps work to finish it up. I also started the night by jogging a slow mile on the treadmill. I think part of my problem on Tuesday was not warming up properly. Jogging a mile gets my body warm and lose, but doesn't sap my strength for lifting.
I also tried Green Might in my preworkout last night - just to switch it up. Didn't notice much difference really...but the 245 rep on bench was nice. I've only done that maybe 3 or 4 times in my life

I had a couple nice workouts over the weekend.
Saturday was deadlift - hit my usual numbers, no PRs, but everything felt good. I did some pulldowns afterwards with a drop set to finish up. My forearms were e-x-p-l-o-d-i-n-g. Crazy pumps!
Sunday was shoulder day. Did standing overhead press, which felt very nice. Got a 5x5 @ 125-135 lbs. I normally do trap bar farmers walks on shoulder days, but my back was really feeling it from the deads, so I skipped them.
I've been taking Green Might preworkout lately, which might explain the extra pumps I've been feeling.
Food today:
Breakfast - Protein shake made of vanilla protein powder, PB2, frozen blueberries, kale, MCT oil and just a little bit of cashew milk.
Lunch - 6 oz of slow cooked beef, rice, some egg whites, red peppers, and kale. Sort of stir fried together with a little bone broth and salt and pepper. I also have an apple and string cheese. My go-to lunch :-)
