Taxes done, did not think I had so much tax credit left from the solar, it was a good day.
Oh, my cereal pick ups from Sac.
The Cold Stone was great tasting but gets soggy so fast, Birthday Cake Cookie Crisp is pretty much the Sugar Cookie one they used to have and is good but gets a bit bland in milk, The Pop Tarts was my favorite so far since I loved the fruity filling but wish there was a bit more int it. Have not had the Captain Crunch ones yet.
I love cereal.Last edited by gbullock32; 02-28-2019 at 05:23 AM.

Whats up everyone. I haven't logged in here in awhile however this thread is still going strong. Past year flew by as the kids are now almost 14 months old. Starting to walk, talk, and their personalities are now showing. With that said, the gym was put on hold basically. I was thinking about canceling my gym membership and building a home gym in my garage. I know some of you guys got some sweet home gym set ups. My question is do I go with something like the Rogue R3 power rack or something like the Titan X3 power rack. Rogue is obviously the better of the two however the overall cost of the gym would be nearly 3k, while if it would around 1.5k if I decide to go with Titan. Anyone got experience with Titan products? Any feedback would be appreciated.

honestly, you're shooting in the dark with Titan. Some have had great experience while some others you're going to spend the difference in terms of time to get your order right.
with that said, what exactly are you looking at so we can help? everything from bars to plates - let us know!
how large is your space? H, L and Width?
basement or garage?
regarding your kids - enjoy it while it lasts man... when they start having their own mind, holding them for the sake of holding them is only possible when they're asleep, or you ask them if you can hold them lol100% 中國人

Pretty much my whole gym is Titan gear, minus the barbells. The rack itself is awesome. I have a T-3 36" deep short model (since I have short ceilings). It's fantastic, very sturdy. If you can bolt it down (i.e. build a lifting platform like I did, super easy) get the T-3. There are so many more accessories for 2x3 tubing. If you can't bolt it down, then the X-3 flat foot is your next best bet. It's got 3x3 tubing so the accessories are bit more pricey.
Also, bide your time. Titan will throw up 15% off sales frequently. When they do, splurge on the rack. And Ebates cashback site will get 2.5% from Titan. Doesn't seem like a lot, but when you place a 1.5k order, you'll get $37.5 bucks back.
And when it comes to your barbells, I was told on here to buy a 28mm bar w/ high whip, and a stiff good 29mm power bar. Really glad I listened. I wish I would've gone with the Rep Fitness PowerSpeed bar instead of the Fringe Sport Power Bar, but I'm still very happy with my Fringe bar. I also have Fringe Sports 28mm Weightlifting Bar which is awesome for deadlifts.
As for plates, Rep Fitness is probably going to be your best bet for new iron plates if Craigslist isn't good to you.

Gratz on the life gains! Can't comment on the gym since mine is a cheap one, but suits my needs; which is what I can comment on. Which would fit your needs better, and would the extra $1.5k be worth the investment?
I honestly just have a Valor Fitness BD-7 and an X-Mark bench, but for the weight I lift it work just fine and I have no real need for more. The rack/bench cost about $750 for both, then of course weights, I have standard since that was what I bought when I was 18 and never lifted enough to need olympic really. It's a cheap set up, not amazing, but for what I do it fits every need without having over spent.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

it's been awhile since i've deadlifted heavy and unless i go over a certain weight, i dont usually use my belt. When i saw what today's weight called for and AMAP, i put on the belt.
i've never fainted or passed out before but on my 10th rep, i began to wonder if i'm about to hit that threshold
anyone willing to admit they fainted or passed out before? what was the feeling like or if that's something you can predict?100% 中國人

Don't give Titan money is my takeaway from reading and watching much about them.
What are you looking at that would be a $1,500 difference? My Rogue Monster Lite was only about $1k
I have not. I have seen stars aka chrome gnats (lol) a few times.
The most important thing here seem to be, as soon as you think it's possible that you might faint or get close, stop whatever you are doing and sit down, so that you don't fall down.

The Chocolatey Berry was meh, berries were just generic crunch berries in flavor and the chocolate crunch was weak, like a less flavorful Coco Puff.
Strawberry Shortcake was better, berries flavored like strawberry but a bit light in flavor, and the shortcake rings were alright too; maybe a 6/10 but I enjoyed it.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

Ok, all the hype got to me. I'm a giant sucker and just ordered a tub of Chemix. Actually found a 20% discount on it and had a small balance in my paypal I forgot about, so justified the fact that it's incredibly overpriced.
Not sure what to expect here. Seeing a disconnect between the formula and what people are saying about it...
Unless Kanna does a lot more than I know, which may be the case.Last edited by BenBlue; 02-28-2019 at 12:29 PM.

Those strawberry unicorn Little Debby snack cakes were legit; might be my favorite snack cake. Like a Zebra Cake but with strawberry cake and filling, and some sprinkles on it. Sucks it's limited.

I dont have the dimensions of the garage space, however I got plenty of room for a rack and deadlift platform. Right now I am just looking at a rack bolted to a platform so I can also deadlift on. I am thinking of getting some bumper plates for deadlifts, Rogue Ohio Power Bar, Dip attachment, flat/incline bench, collars, and maybe a few dumbells to start off. Regarding my kids I am enjoying every minute with them even though I am completely tired lol.
Thanks for your feedback on Titan. I either hear great things or bad things lol. Glad to hear you have nothing but good things to say about them.
Thanks man. I feel the 1.5k is going towards quality and insurance that the rack and bench would be exactly what I am looking for.
I mean Titan has a rack/bench combo for like 600 shipped while Rogue is 650 for the rack plus 500 or so for the bench. Then you add in shipping, it adds up rather fast. I have been looking on craiglist but no good hits on used benches or anything. Again I have read a lot of issues with Titan but then there are reviews and feedback that they are great. I have a friend who has a couple of racks from them and he has really liked them as well.
Yeah I will be making a platform to bolt the rack into with some food and horse stall mats as well. I will check the used sporting good stores too, thanks.
hi ...yeah I have been hitting up craigslist. I will probably get some metal plates from there, but have been striking out on a used bench haha.Workout Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=167450201
