They are pretty good, but a bit sweet from the 'icing' on the bottom; original is always the GOAT though.

Recalculated some measurements and I’m an idiot, I can get a rig and do pull ups in my basement. I missed out on BF and CM pricing, but I ordered a Titan T3 short rack and some other stuff at 15% off.

Trying to find a great bar with center knurl at the moment. I know I want some flex for when I dead lift, but I want to use it when I bench/squat as well. I do like the center knurl for when I low squat. Also trying to find a good deal on bumper plates, specifically need six 45 lbers.

I can’t remember when I have actually purchased rice crispie treats of any kind recently. Maybe several years ago. We have always made them at home. Fresh and homemade always tastes better or at least what I remember what the store bars taste like. They never get old but to each their own.

I buy them and make them, PB Rice Crispy treats home made, still warm is amazing; store bought keep better so for throwing one in my lunch it's easier.

I always wonder what I could pull w a deadlift bar. Nothing but stiff bars in my commercial gyms. I remember maybe 2 years ago now they have a skinny bar with a ton of flex in the gym, I don't think it was 45 lbs, prob 35lbs, but I had an absolutely epic session on that thing. I remember the flex making the lifts just pop off the ground (my deadlift weakness is off the ground, have never had issues w lockout). I think that was the first time I pulled in the mid 500's.

I would still opt to do most of my training on a stiff bar for the added difficulty, but I would love a bar w flex for max days.

I always trained with a stiff bar. That way when I went to a meet, the dl bar they used would give me another 40-50# on my lift.

I always bought them because of the amount I was going through and they are in-expensive. Yea, if I made them at home, I'd have had much more freedom to vary it up. They were perfect for pre-training. I'm using a rice cake and PB after I drink my pre workout for that last second touch of carbs + fats.

Compared to a 28mm weightlifting/oly style bar, the difference I noticed was grip. I'm on that super poverty herniated L5-S1 didn't deadlift for years, deadlift sucks out loud time, but I got an Ohio Deadlift bar a couple weeks ago...I had been pulling with my 28mm oly bar (great for cleans, but knurling leaves much to be desired if grip is an issue), and a couple or so months ago I had done a 315x5 set where I pulled the first 315 lb rep double overhand then switched to mixed grip...last week I pulled 350x4x4 and I did the 350x4 entire first set double overhand on the deadlift bar.

Alternate grip has never been an issue at my poverty weights (PR like 415 lol) but double overhand is an entirely different story.

Eh, I think a 400+ lbs deadlift is something most will never accomplish. May not be an insanely strong weight, relatively speaking, but it's nothing to scoff at.

Double overhand will only get you so far, that's for sure. Once I get over 350 or so, it's time to pull hook grip (which I highly recommend learning). I'll use straps from time to time as well, but only on days when I'm not feeling great mentally and have higher rep ranges to hit. Try to do most of my work w hook grip.

I hook grip when I do cleans, but, not interested in subjecting my thumbs to that for deads lol. I'm not interested in maxing for powerlifting competitions so straps are fine if I don't want to do alternate. Hook grip can tear up your skin and avoids working your grip

thumbs get tougher lol I've pulled 565 hook grip. Haven't really had any issues with my thumbs. I might be way out to left field, but I feel like it works my grip better than over/under. Over/under just feels too easy in terms of grip, and I didn't like the imbalances it gave me when I used it for heavy work.

True on imbalances, even with light weight I'm always a bit paranoid of that distal bicep tendon. Hook or straps for that
