Should I take creatine if I drink coffee?

I was wondering if I can take creatine if I drink coffee. I always take 5g of creatine after breakfast, but I also drink a cup of coffee everyday with that meal. Does the diuretic effect of caffeine flash out the intramuscularly water created by creatine?

No effect on anything whatsoever. In fact, a lot of pre and intras will have creatine and caffeine in the same scoop.

Yes, you can take your creatine if you drink coffee.
Based on my own anecdotal experience, I have yet to suffer life suffering consequences from taking creatine while drinking coffee.

Also, for the record, caffeine is not a diuretic.

    Greetings,

I think the reason alexs1998 is asking this question is because some studies showed that caffeine negates creatine. I read that in a couple of places. Not sure if it's true, but for myself I take the creatine in the middle of the day, hours away from coffee!

    Do it

This reminds me of discussions/videos while back by Will Brink, he recommends a drink mix which he had made while back when "Bullet Proof Coffee" in 2013/14 gained popularity and his version "Bomb Proof Coffee".

    http://www.brinkzone.com/articles/th...-proof-coffee/

    http://www.brinkzone.com/general-hea...-proof-coffee/

Which includes Creatine he has also discussed Creatine + Caffeine through several videos and write ups with studies/sources. He goes on to mention/discuss the wide range of benefits of creatine on general health and brain/cognitive functions he says it's a no brainer on adding it too your coffee.

It is tho. I don’t have the paper on hand but given subjects that don’t use consistently and take a bolus dose it has diuretic properties.
