Perhaps read the title of the thread?
"CFB" Chat... what Schiano did in the NFL is completely irrelevant. You want to discredit Saban while you're at it for his pitiful stint in Miami? Schiano established RUTGERS are one of the top big ten programs.
Buckeyes are in solid hands either way... I'd love to have Urban back until he decides to retire but let's not pretend that the Ohio State HC job isn't one of the most prestigious titles in all of sports. We'd have our pick at who we wanted.

Title IX doesn't appear to come into play here. I'm not a lawyer, but (quoting a lawyer on another site) It would require:
(1) Abuse or sexual assault or sexual harassment [Check]
(2) By a student or member of staff or faculty [Check]
(3) Connected with a university sponsored activity or event [No check]ʙ ᴜ ᴄ ᴋ ᴇ ʏ ᴇ ✭ ɴ ᴀ ᴛ ɪ ᴏ ɴ

The way i understand it, all three have to be met. And 'kind of connected', sure; but, if the reported abuse didn't happen at a sponsored activity or event (i.e., at a football game/practice/meeting or party, etc.), it fails to meet the criteria (as I understand it) for Title IX.

Ah, I guess that makes sense. I've just read a few things today stating that she could be facing problems with the school because of it title 9. I guess time will tell. I ****ing hate how everyone BUT Courtney Smith is being blamed. I stop caring when the person goes back to the abuser countless times.
Blaming her, though, is 'siding with the abuser,' I guess?AcetylCoA gets reps

I was talking with a girl I work with today and she had similar comments surrounding Coutney's statements--she said,
"Bitches can be crazy, who knows how much of what she's saying is true. I went to college with girls who lied about things (like abuse and rape) for attention."
I'm dating a girl now who was in a long-term abusive relationship with her ex. I couldn't get it either, why would you keep going back?
Even when we first started dating he had some strange, indirect control over her. She'd be worried about seeing him or somehow making him upset (even though we'd only seen him a handful of times).
I started to research it a bit, the psychology of someone in an abusive relationship, and it was astonishing to me to find how the absuer can manipulate and abuse everyone around them mentally into thinking they're the ones in the right and others are lucky to have them.
This not only happens with those they are directly abusing, but they can and do manipulate their children, family, coworkers, friends, law enforcement, courts (abusers often simply get out of trouble easily, reinforcing their behavior), etc.
They're literal masters at it.
I can certainly see something like this going on here--Courtney may not be the only victim here, everyone involved with Zach may have been equally manipulated and actual victims of his behavior.ʙ ᴜ ᴄ ᴋ ᴇ ʏ ᴇ ✭ ɴ ᴀ ᴛ ɪ ᴏ ɴ

Rumors starting to circulate around Columbus that people close to the Smith's are starting to chatter. Some are saying that Courtney is an alcoholic and had been seen at parties beating on Zach while he walked away.
Also, unconfirmed reports that some of the 'reports' she filed with police were unfounded on many occasions because Zach was at work.
Another rumor is that she'd been living off of child support since the divorce and that when Zach was fired she feared no more money coming in and reached out to sell her story.
Of course, this is coming from Columbus, but it definitely is a reminder that there are two sides to every story.ʙ ᴜ ᴄ ᴋ ᴇ ʏ ᴇ ✭ ɴ ᴀ ᴛ ɪ ᴏ ɴ

No avi crew checking in.
He's right you know... Buckeyes are the superior program and it isn't even close. Stay relevant for at least a decade and then come talk to me.
1 of 3 teams to win the CFB playoff?
Good one.
This.
Can't confirm the validity of the sources... but it's supposedly someone close to the Meyer family, a neighbor etc etc.
But this information has been spreading around Columbus like wildfire and it got forwarded to a co-worker of mine today.
"Our friend is a personal friend of Urban, this information supposedly came from Urban. Thought you would like to know.
*Urban is looking at a 3-4 game suspension, mostly because the #MeToo movement and the appearance the university must give.
*Many members of the University have known about both her and him for quite some time.
*They never acted on information because there was never any proof of guilt one way or the other.
*Photos are from 2010 and there is no proof the harm was caused by him.
*He and she are both drunks and they are both crazy. She is REALLY crazy.
*She called 911 (66) times in 90 days.
*She got pulled over 3 times for DUI. On each time they let her off and escorted her home.
*Each time she began crying and stated Zach was chasing her and she was afraid. Each time Zach was at practice.
*911 actually stopped sending squads because they stopped finding her credible. They came numerous times with 911 verifying Zach was engaged in Ohio State activities.
*In Zach's and her court hearing the Powell police are testifying on his behalf.
*She has come to OSU practices numerous times drunk, chasing after Zach, threatened to blow people up and other various threats.
*She never worked and when divorced lived off of Zach's child support.
*When Zach was fired she realized she would lose income and freaked out. She reached out to anyone. She was asking 6-figures for her story."
Take this for what it's worth. But from the looks of it... Urban deserves a ****ing apology.

Victim shaming is a very very common tactic whenever someone of power gets accused of rape/abuse/etc that’s why victims are scared to come out against people in positions of power.
This happens a lot in college sports bc accusers know the fans will go after them in the strongest ways. I see this literally every day in my profession lol.
There are explicit txt messages that show Zach smith threatening her and whoever she is seen with. He was a violent person.
@TMac lol at an “apology”....he was asked if he knew about the abuse. He said no. He lied. No one needs to apologize to him. Funny how none of that came out until AFTER urban might go down for it. This is the definition of character attacking. Period.Boxer.

More like negotiating the separation. No coach that I'm aware of has ever been reinstated after being put on admin leave. More likely that the uni is trying to weasel out of his $$$ contract, he is trying to get a much $$$ out of it as possible.
The only question now is when will he replace Lee Corso on CGD?***Alabama Crimson Tide***

LMAO wut?
Like OSU is different than any other historical CFB power team. Dabo, Nick, Urban, Harbaugh, etc = the face of the universities.
I have no love for OSU, but I genuinely sympathize with the fan base. Would phucking blow if Saban got caught up in chit like that.
Also something I've considered that nobody is talking about. Let's say Urban is guilty, he covered up for his assistant. Why would Urban risk everything for an easily replaceable receiver's coach? Perhaps there was worry he would sing about recruiting violations. I'm just blindly speculating, but that is the only reasonable explanation for that behavior IMO.***Alabama Crimson Tide***
