It’s getting old where everytime a cop arrests someone and force is applied that “the cop was out of line.” If you want to play Matlock and get defiant when a cop is asking you simple questions and you get cuffed?....I don’t give a chit how you think you were wronged.

How about just answer the questions, comply with the cop and let your friend quietly record it? If the cop is wrong and you’re calm as hell then the video with show the cop hanging him/herself. Lol at anyone who watches this video and thinks the girl wasn’t asking for exactly what she got.

Exactly. Quick story about me when I was placed in cuffs...

-Out at bar with friends and gf.
-Some guy thought my buddy was hitting on his drunk gf.
-He sucker punches him.
-Sh!t starts going crazy.
-Cops are already there.
-Drunk girl tells cop that I was harassing her.
-Cops immediately come to me and place me in cuffs.
-I am laughing the whole time cause I was not even near them when all this went down. I was in another part of the bar, but I could see where everything went down.
-My drunk gf and her drunk friend see me getting placed in cuffs and they start going crazy too. Saying "He didn't do anything. Bring your superior officer out here. You're getting fired, etc, etc."
-Again I am laughing to myself and keeping calm while all this craps gets resolved.
-I tell my my gf and her friend to just calm down and chill the f-out.
-Cops come back to me and start asking me questions.
-I tell them everything that went down.
-Drunk girl (not my gf) starts rambling again and points to another person saying that he harassed her.
-Cops realize the girl is being a drunk kunt and making sh!t up.
-They let me go, apologize and also thank me for cooperating.


Moral of the story. Just obey the cops even if they are wrong. Everything will get settled in the end. Don't escalate it.

It is best when encountering to police to just keep your emotions to yourself handle the situation professionally and move on about your business. However should we all be forced to bow down to their authority any time they feel the need to interrogate? If they don't like the tone you answer their question can they jerk you out of the car and arrest you?

Personally I don't have time for the BS if I encounter the police I give them the minimum information requested and try to make the encounter as brief as possible.

The officer may have had legal probable cause to arrest her, but this is still a miscarriage of justice. It's pretty obvious what happened here. Anyone who watches the video can see the officer just lost her chit and reacted emotionally. I don't understand why we have such a draconic legal system. We'll pussyfoot around and protect mafia members and gang leaders, but oh no some 20 year old girl had a few shots and is sitting in the passenger seat of a car, BETTER FUKING THROW HER ASS IN JAIL. The girl was being a b*tch when the officer (likely) explained multiple times where her friend was going, but you can't see before the video started. The video cut but she seemed to not be straight on giving wtf her name was, so the cop was bringing her to jail. That's 100% a legitimate arrest in my state. I'm still confused about her last name too. The girl said samantha luna and alonzo luna and also said Luna is her last name and started explaining her dad is not her real dad and she's mexican with two last names? Just say wtf is on your documentation that will show up when they call it in, it's not that hard. People who are beating around the bush on their name are usually trying to avoid something (existing warrant almost 100% of the time, anecdotally). If you can't give your ****ing name without going into a monologue explaining it, something is up.

I'm not sure what you are defending, but you also seem to think being a cop is customer service smiles and dick sucking. I don't have to be nice to you (in some cases it makes the job easier), but if you are being an ******* it's probably not going to go in your favor.

In the video the blonde cop threatens her with Public Intoxication. She was of course in the passenger seat so I thought it was odd to charge one with Public intoxication as a passenger. But I did look online and in some states the state can legally charge you with PI because they consider a car a public area. That's a pretty ****ed up law.

I side with the chick here. Most people get a little angry when stopped by the cops. The girl wasn't even that rude. She was arguing, but not really resisting. The cop could have easily defused this with a couple of calm words. Instead she escalates it further and further.
Suddenly the cop pounces at her without a warning and grabs her. The girl flips out and tries to fight back like most people do, when bullied by someone twice their size.
The internet is full of videos with crazies flipping out at the cops, but this is not one of them.

Now the fact that public intoxication and a 21-year-old drinking age are retarded laws is not the cops faults though. The girl does not seem drunken from the video.
