Been playing for a day and I’m already up to the boreal valley city
Game seems easy af
The hollowing not reducing health anymore seems to have ruined the game dynamic and dark souls feel
Increasing health with ember gives way too much health and I barely leveled it up
I’m at level 58 tearing through most stages
Barely leveled up weapons
Is it just me or is this game really easy?
Also the stages seem way too linear compared to dark souls 1
I still enjoy it MUCH more than ds 2 as the unrelated story was stupid. Ds3 feels more like a direct sequel, although I can’t tell if it happens before or after ds1. I feel like it might be right before ds1 and there are characters like Siegward and patches

Once you've become experienced with the souls series, any souls game proceeding will be incredibly easy. I played a **** ton of DS3, beating all the bosses at Lvl 1 and can god damn breeze through the game, playing bloodborne was an absolute cakewalk for me because of that. I rarely ever died, if at all to most bosses. Kind of sad really because Souls games are only fun when it's challenging.
Whenever I play Souls games now, I intentionally make the game harder by not levelling vitality and rushing to the bosses so I'm under-levelled. Sure I die a ton on certain bosses but it makes it more fun.!Only friends are family crew!

Reminds me of ds1 with the stray demon in the tutorial stage
I was raging until I watched a video and learned to run past him
I might be getting better
Now Ina new area I’ll drop a summon sign and help other players and that helps me learn an area and avoid traps
I found dark souls 2 and blood born to be challenging
I will say that dark souls 3 is beautiful and I love that there are many more npc characters to add to the story and they made it easier to level up skills instead of having to run around to trainers
Playing as a pyro with around 20 int and 25 faith but tend to use sword shield for the most part
Strength and dex around 17
I probably won’t have to level up to 120 to beat the gameAny posts made are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. Seems accurate. BB was my first souls game and I platted that. Been playing ds remastered for the first time and killed Gwyn this morning. A few rough patches but overall nowhere near as challenging as BB was. I don't think BB is necessarily harder, I just know how to play souls games now.

God chalice dungeons are so time-consuming and the bosses are complete aids aswell since most of them can one-shot you. I tried farming arcane gems and got burnt out because it took so god damn long lol.
It annoys me though since all the good gems are in dungeons, yet it's probably the worst part of the game. What weapon do you use? The kirkhammer is god-tier, I wrecked everyone on my first playthough using it. I don't even use it now since it's so OP lol.!Only friends are family crew!

I finally beat the 1st boss in DS3 on Saturday. I had previously tried the game on 2-3 separate occasions and lost to him countless times. Not sure why I won so easily this weekend.. I played it roughly the same way I usually do. The furthest I've gotten into any DS game is in DS2: SOTFS.. got about 3/4 through that, but some was with help.

Hm dark souls 3 was or is my first dark souls game. Played it few weeks ago and I did not find it that hard either. I mean sure I did a lot but I always kept leveling so I was able to beat the bosses. But it still was a good game.
Also the game gets far too easy with the help of others. I made all bosses solo.

Deprived actually starts at level 6, the highest of all the classes. You need to pick the pyromancer class, the only class that starts at level one.
I had made a pyro long ago and stripped it naked. Just rolled with a reinforced club I bought from the undead merchant guy. I think doing this is called the "caveman" run. Managed to beat a bunch of bosses, but I eventually got stuck at Ornstein and Smough. Would like to overcome that fight someday, but haven't had the itch to play the game yet.
Here's me doing Gaping Dragon (with Channeler), no heals. Butthole was clenched near the end.

Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne are by far the hardest in the series. Dark Souls 3 is a cakewalk in comparison. I beat it doing a SL1 run, there's no chance I'd put myself through that on DS1 or BB.
You are also correct in your assessment about the linearity. DS3 may be mechanically excellent, but the level design and difficulty are lacking.

DS1 is still the best in the series and has the most heart. I played it for the first time a few years ago after not understanding all the hype, and it's definitely in my top 10 games of all time. There's an optional dragon boss called Kalameet. Probably the hardest boss in any game I've ever played but so rewarding when he's defeated.
Spoiler!

They tried to add half ass short cuts after the fact in ds3 but it’s nothing like the design of dark souls 1
Dark souls 2 was just trash and lol at that part where you need 100k souls to pass but really there’s just some rocks that you could climb over in real life
Ds1 was a master piece
Still I’m enjohinf ds3 a lot bette than 2 as it feels directly related to ds1 which I loved

Bloodborne definitely felt harder since blocking was not an option, my build in DS1 was pretty straightforward Strength/End so I imagine if a did a Dex type build I'd feel differently.
Got my Vordt kill last night, finally feel like I'm starting to get traction vs the game. I've got a few levels into my useful stats and decent gear in all my slots (except rings). Starting from the weakest origin story is my favorite part about Souls games - you fight for every inch at the beginning but once you finally turn that corner it feels amazing.Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors.
