You are absolutely right. Dips are just as scary as the top. Everyone thinks they know the market but they have no clue.. including myself.
UA was incredibly enticing and I almost pulled the trigger on them... but too much of a pansy to invest in a clothing line.. unless its nike or something.
Hopefully you've evened out with them. If they drop to $10.00 or so I might take a dive.:D

Didn't they get caught out with that security exploit for their CPUs...not as bad as Intel but then went into business with Intel for a joint CPU and GPU chipset????

Teaming up with Intel whose reputation is in the toilet. Why would you buy shares with these guys?
I dunno man just seems foolish tbh given the state of their rep

I see no real risk in AMD. It's not in my group because my Dad works there so my families wealth already has a salary tied to it, but they got a huge infusion of great engineers like my dad from his former company NXP doing the dumbest layoff I've ever seen. Getting IT talent is hard and AMD pounced well IMO.

AMD is a really interesting stock. NVidia produces the best GPU's for cryptocurrency mining, but AMD is second best. For months and months you couldn't find a high end AMD GPU from a retailer. If cryptocurrency flourishes, AMD has the potential for long term exponential growth.
I was really temped to invest in AMD a couple months ago when it dipped below $10, but I hate the volatility of cheaper stocks. I sure wish I would've because that would've been an awesome swing trade. It's gapped up over 80% over the past two months.
I wouldn't invest in it now because it's way too extended. Good luck OP, I hope it works out for you.

I'm happy with my investment Found this tidbit for AMD/Samsung as well..
Samsung reports mass production of 'industry's first' 16Gb, 64GB DDR4 RDIMM.
Samsung Electronics (SSNLF) announced that it is the first in the industry to begin volume production of modules containing a 16 gigabit monolithic 64 gigabyte DDR4 memory solution. The new registered dual in-line memory module, or RDIMM, is designed primarily for use in enterprise and cloud server applications, the company said. The HPE (HPE) ProLiant DL385 Gen10 server based on the AMD (AMD) EPYC 7000 processors will be the first major server platform in the industry qualified to use 64GB RDIMMs based on the new Samsung 16Gb technology, providing up to two terabytes of memory in a two-processor, 32-DIMM configuration with the 16Gb, 64GB solution, Samsung stated.:D
