Now that basketball is over....time for the 2 months of desolation before football starts again known as "there's baseball on but nobody cares"
Quick thoughts
1. QB is deep as ever. Already have 1-3 QBs I'd love to have late in the draft but I feel like the "draft a QB late" strat is pretty much standard now
2. Lots of question marks at RB after the first two rounds. Sure there's a ton of potentially good backs but you'll probably want a half dozen of them just to see which ones will hit
2a. Would love a top 5 pick this year to take from Gurley/Bell/Elliott/Brown/DJ. After that it's a bit murky
3. Tom Brady is still the GOAT
4. LeBron to the Lakers
6/11 top 12 rankings for the first round
1. Todd Gurley
2. Le'Veon Bell
3. David Johnson
4. Antonio Brown
5. Zeke Elliott
6. DeAndre Hopkins
7. Kareem Hunt
8. Alvin Kamara
9. Melvin Gordon
10. Julio Jones
11. Michael Thomas
12. Keenan Allen

Ayyy how you been ya bastards
Non-FF - Excited to see what Jimmy G can do in a full season. McKinnon should be an upgrade over Hyde. Might even go to a game this year
FF - Jimmy G is ranked too high IMO for what his upside is. McKinnon might be worth drafting. Goodwin could be a sneaky WR3 or a low end WR2
LeBron?
LeBron
LeBron
Personally I was rooting for the Celtics and the Rockets in the CFs but that all fell apart in one weekend in almost identical manners :/

I agree with you about Jimmy G. I think he's going to do well, and win, but I don't think its going to carry to fantasy land. He won't be putting up 300/3TDs a game. As far as fantasy production, I'd compare to maybe last year Case Keenum. Good for a solid 15, occasional 25+
EDIT: Also think Watson comes back to earth. That run he had was insane, and not sustainable. Coming off injury, I think he will get over drafted for sure (still produce well however, just not 3-5TDs per game)6'1 - 240lbs

Agreed on both points. The niners offense should be better than it was without Jimmy G but yeah I think 15 points a game is a good avg to expect from him. Right now Jimmy G (64) is ranked higher than Carson Wentz (68), Jared Goff (86), and Kirk Cousins (71) while being just 1 lower than Cam Newton. (Yahoo ranks)
I was reading a FBG article about most overvalued QBs and Watson was smack dab at the top of the list, here are some of the comments
It was fun when Watson set the world on fire in limited action as a rookie. And it's undeniable his ability to produce fantasy points with his legs makes him more or less bust-proof (injuries notwithstanding). But how on earth are people considering drafting him in the same range as Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, when he's coming off his second ACL tear in three years (separate knees) and a season in which he posted an entirely unsustainable 9.3% touchdown rate? As long as encouraging reports continue on his knee, Watson will be fine as an every-week fantasy starter. Just don't reach for him ahead of early-round running backs and wide receivers expecting the same once-in-a-lifetime results we saw last yearWatson was a shooting star in his half-season-ish of rookie season production, logging numbers first-year quarterbacks only dream about. Watson's efficiency was off the charts in terms of touchdown rate and yards per attempt. Watson also added Cam Newton-like rushing production en route to his elite fantasy numbers. However, it is worth noting Watson did have the typical rookie growing pains in terms of interception rate and sack rate, both well above the NFL average. The biggest concern with Watson is his ADP represents having to shoot the needle again on the perfect fantasy season to justify the cost of going quarterback early compared to other positions, where the drop off is more substantial by the later rounds.

Yesssssss
Keeper question. In my league no one can keep anyone drafted in the first 2 rounds of the previous year. I have 1st pick and i get to keep DJ for a 5th round pick. My keepers will probably be
DJ - 5th
Ertz-7th
Diggs-8th
Juju-14th
Collins-15th
Do i grab a stud WR like hopkins or get dat 1/2 stud RB with gurley and DJ?

Hey Murph, glad to see you back for another year
Mitch - they definitely upgraded his weapons this year (+Arob, +Gabriel, +Burton, +Miller, +maybe healthy White?) Should see more Cohen this year. I'm not a bears fan and didn't watch many games but maybe? I'd probably put him on the lower end of the QB spectrum still though
Lol @ Odell
I think Kamara is the most fascinating pick in R1, but curious to why you think DJ is. I mean he's the best bet to hit 2k rush/receiving and coming off a wrist injury that doesn't look like it has any lingering effects
Sup dhawk
Gurley + DJ = hnnnnng
Diggs + JuJu makes for an okay WR corps with Collins @ flex. Would probably take a WR after that and then load up the RB backups
Pretty nice keepers brah mirin

So since this thread finally popped up, I'll post a draft I already did. Yes, I know. It's early as fuk, but this particular guy hosts tons of drafts every and spreads them out. Just so happens I jumped in an early one the past few years. Makes it interesting come camp time hoping nobody gets injured.
Anyway here is where I came in. Had 2nd pick in a 10 team PPR - 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1 W/R/T, 1 DEF, 6 bench.
QB - Watson, Stafford
RB - Bell, Howard, Ajayi, Mack
WR - Adams, Fitz, Landry, C. Davis, K. Benjamin, Nelson
TE - Reed, Njoku
DEF - Chicago (Stream most of the year unless I latch on to a good one)Bears/Bulls/Blackhawks

stafford is a strong dependable QB but what makes you think he's having basically a career year at those stats? he hit 5k many moons ago but unless they threw calvin johnson in a time machine and brought him back i don't see why he'd suddenly get there again
his last 5 years have been consistently mid/low 4k yards and mid/high 20's TDs. i'm just curious why you think he'd be any different this year.
