I'm new to dynasty and we're in the midst of a slow draft, round 20 right now and it's been about 2 weeks since started (yawn), it's a superflex, 1/2ppr with bonuses for big plays, including passing, receiving, and rushing. My wr's are pretty solid but my rbs are a little soft. I'm looking to Target some rbs to shore up that hole leading into the season (trade for current guys with a defined role who might be cheap, i.e. shady, Ingram, crowell, etc.), Any recommendations for specific guys who could be cheap but usefull for a season?
Current rbs are:
McKinnon
Kenyan drake
Cj Anderson
Kenneth Dixon
Peyton barber
Aaron jones
Demarco Murray

Curious to see how some of these backfields play out, good value to be found
Ronald Jones - Coach said they'll try to get him 15-20 touches a game
Kerryon Johnson vs Blount vs Abdullah (hint, Riddick undervalued)
Royce Freeman vs Devontae Booker
Rashaad Penny vs Chris Carson
Sony Michel vs Rex Burkhead/Jeremy Hill
Aaron Jones vs Jamaal Williams vs Ty Montgomery (Jones > Ty > Jamaal)
Henry vs Lewis
Drake vs Gore (lulz)

He's still on the roster today and could end up making the team if anything happens to the 3 guys in front of him
but yeah Abdullah has done fuk all in his time there
Reading Kerryon could be looking at around 200 carries ceding passing down work to Riddick and GL situations to Blount. Maybe low end RB2/flex? Maybe just flex. Lions rushing game is buns

dude broke 70 yards twice last season and was always injured somewhere
rank 58 in yahoo, but surrounded by other question mark guys (Lewis, Jones II, Coleman, Mack, Michel. I guess you could do worse than have the supposed #1 in the HOU backfield.
I've been a begrudging Miller owner the last 2 seasons and I hate it. He somehow usually finds his way to 8-10 points but damn he's uninspiring and really not that good
jags, rams, chargers, vikings, eagles, ravens
second tier: texans, panthers, saints, steelers, lions

agreed with you but you do see my point in terms of his price. i think foreman can be had for nothing and lamar's price has come down quite a bit vs a year or two ago. he's their 3-down guy and his overall numbers while Watson was playing were pretty strong as a RB2
if foreman gets healthy and gets that job he'd be a red hot pickup

Yeah miller was like an ez late 2nd last year and borderline first the year before that iirc. Watson back = more production for Miller almost makes too much sense, inb4 he gets hyped and his ranking goes up to the mid 30s by August
his stat line from last season is pretty disappointing although that entire offense went into the gutter when Watson went down.
Foreman is ranked somewhere in the Kerryon area but he's not practicing yet, might not be ready for week 1 as of now

I'm on that don't draft Lamar Miller or Lions RBs train. Only going to disappoint.
I don't think Sony Michel is going to lose touches to Hill...I mean not enough to be concerned. I don't understand how they're going to use Hill. He's a fumbling machine. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the 53 man roster. The entire Patriots backfield is stupid right now. They have about 53 RBs on their roster. I however don't think they go after Sony Michel in the 1st round to not give him touches. Michel and Burkhead on early downs, White on 3rd, Burkhead on the goal line. Gillislee and Hill are unknowns.New England Patriot

Indy is another team I refuse to draft a RB for. Either Luck starts, and offense rolls through him (or they are throwing 50 times a game because their defense sucks) or Luck still isn't ready, they have no aerial threat.
Some teams I just completely avoid their backfield. So far it has not steered me wrong.6'1 - 240lbs

Yeah I'm interested in seeing who is left on IND's RB roster after they make cuts. I think Mack is the only guarantee. I don't see them keeping both Turbin and Michael, so I could see them trying to get something out of Michael in a trade.
But, yes, I agree. Wilkins appears to be in a promising situation to earn some touches this year and then take over IND's RB1 spot in the next two years, assuming he can stay relatively healthy.
edit: as mentioned above though, I wouldn't draft him unless I'm looking for long-term investment in a large keeper league.

I am going to be really surprised if Sony isn't the lead back. The Patriots NEVER use a early pick on a skill position, especially a position where they already had a multitude of options, and had more pressing needs. Logic would indicate that they drafted Sony to be a 3 down back. I think Hill and Gillislee will be on different teams come September. I think your theory is fairly accurate, with Burkead only getting early work for passing formations.
Then again, this is Hoodie we are talking about. He could roll all 3 of them out there at the same time for all we know.6'1 - 240lbs

They also drafted Naheim Hines so they've got the two rookies, Mack, Michael, and Turbin. Michael has actually been alright when hes been given a chance to play but his off the field antics must be a big issue cause he cant seem to hold a job despite how hes playing. Any ways, what im getting at is that that back field is a mess. Tbh that entire team is a mess, it might be Brisset at the helm again this year.

Only issue I see is that I don't think we will really know how healthy Lucky is until a few games into the season. I imagine his preseason work will be limited. Really depends on where they are ranking TY I guess. I wouldn't dare take him at his previous ADPs, but if he falls he could be a gem............assuming Luck is healthy. Luck not throwing a football for 2 years is also concerning.

if TY is dirt cheap i'd do it. i don't like him though, i never liked guys who completely disappear and basically put up all their numbers in 3-4 huge games. you probably won't know for sure how healthy luck is until after your draft and if he goes down again TY will be completely useless.
also if Luck has health hype all summer TY's price will climb and i will disregard.
