Dymatize iso-100 causes gas problems and diarrhea.

Whenever I take even one scoop of Dymatize Iso-100 (Orange dreamsicle, peanut butter, chocolate peanut butter), it causes gas for 6-8 hours and diarrhea problems. Whereas even 50 gms of Ultimate Nutrition Prostar gets digested smoothly without making me feel heavy in stomach. Can someone throw some light on it? What can be the reasons? Is Ultimate Prostar better than Dymatize Iso-100?

Check your Ultimate Nutrition container with the manufacturer. It’s one of the most common fraudulent products overseas. As is Dymatize as well.
Your nutrition and workout program determines your success.

I have been using Dymatize for months now, no issues. I just mix it with water and chug it, and only use the chocolate flavor. They now make one without artificial flavors.

If you have issues with ISO-100, I'd imagine you just have a whey sensitivity in general, not just lactose. I agree with OT to double check the UN product.

You are mixing your ISO in milk? If so, you may have lactose issues fom the milk, not the iso.

Well i brought iso-100 from bodybuilding.com only. Is there still a chance for fake product?
And insofar as UN product is concerned, i checked the authenticity with the importer and waiting for the reply from UN.

No. I mix it in water only. Milk will only delay the digestion.

Oh man! really? do u think people should accept whatever u say even if it doesn't make any sense?
Milk has carbs, fats, casein beside whey. And water is pure just as it is. So in comparison to water, milk will be digested at slower rate. The digestion process will take time. Period. Peace out.

I have not talked about inhibiting gains. My original post was related to stomach disturbance with protein intake so definitely i would save myself from the foods which would further cause delay in digestion.

No way Ultimate Nutrition is Better than Dymatize Iso-100!! The Orange Dreamsicle flavour is spot on.

Been using it since a while now and no issues as such.

Consume insoluble fiber foods like lentils and flax seeds. They should certainly help.

It's weird that a supposedly high quality isolate would cause diarrhea and bloatedness. I have a fair bit of lactose intolerance myself and I always kid about drinking full cream milk as being suicide. I like the taste of milk though so the 2 - 3 times to the john is worth it.

I'm on a gainer now so it's definitely not lactose free but I'm also a personal trainer so on busy days when I have lots of clients and farting would be downright embarrassing, I'll switch to soy or a good whey isolate. Works for me.

Two things are going on here. First, you are comparing an isolate to a regular whey. They are both protein, but they go through different processes. The way that isolate is processed doesn't agree with your stomach it sounds like.

Second, the isolate is a more concentrated protein and therefore more difficult for your gut to process. If you want to keep trying the isolate, then consider adding a probiotic to help with digestion.
