That's how coach gives it to me. It's normally front squats and trap bar deads before conventional, and even then, less volume, but we're changing it up. As long as I don't die....

I notice more and more people doing squats and deads in just socks. Not my thing, but its pretty common.
The only thing my gym has "banned" is the use of chalk. We had a guy who used an excessive amount of chalk on EVERYTHING. Finally the workers got fed up of cleaning up after him, and said no more.

Yeah, I can see how chalk can get messy. I went to a specific gym for a year and a half, and it had a good amount of powerlifters, but the only issue was that our gym had only 6 squat racks. There was one group of PLers that ruined it for everyone. They would hog 4 squat racks for 3 hours or so. (literally took 30 minute breaks in between every set) Not only that, they also frequently smashed the mirrors. They just took up a lot of space lol. So the manager got rid of the plate holders on the sides of the squat racks. Then, they eventually all just left.
Smh if people just respected the equipment, then it wouldn't be a problemMuscleTech Representative

Don't wear lifts for deads though! I pretty much only wear these for narrow stance and comp stance squats.

I am sorry I've been MIA. I knew I would be pulled away because my parents were here visiting this last week. I did not know that they would have to put their dog down while they were here. When they arrived, she was doing great, her normal energetic self, but she had had some weird episodes over the last month. Their vet had checked her out but they didn't trust it so said they were going to look for a new vet when they got home. I offered to make an appt with my vet, but they didn't think it would help since they needed a trustworthy vet at home.
However, she had a couple episodes within the first 24 hours they were here, so my awesome vet squeezed them in. Fast forward to the examination, bloodwork and x-rays, she had a bleed likely from a tumor into the pericardium, which was impairing her heart's contractions as well as limiting the expansion of her lungs. My dad really wanted to get her home so she could be on the farm one last time and they could call the mobile vet, but her decline went exponentially fast. By Saturday night her breathing was extremely labored and by mid-day Sunday, they made the decision to take her in Monday. My awesome vet came to the car so she wouldn't have to be scared, and she was ready to go.
I'm heartbroken for my parents, so I decided to take a break from the gym for the rest of their visit so I could spend all my waking hours with them. Anyway, they left this morning so I'm back at it.Team Ogre Mascot

Do the Truffle Shuffle!
I've already been through it once, and will likely go through it again in a couple years. It's the one thing we can count on when we love a pup. They are doing okay, but it was hard for them to go home after vacation because it felt so weird. They also live on 10 acres and have been thinking about moving because the farm is too much work for them now that they are getting older, so now that she's gone, they are going to sell it and move. 150 actually felt pretty good. Belt was far too tight, but squats felt so much better with it, and I think my depth was better than it has been in a bit. Ribs are sore from belt tho
