Hey guys, so I’m overseas for work, and since I’ve been here I’ve been training like a madman.
I was experiencing lower back pain (very tight almost pinch like feeling) after deadlifts (between sets). And I got the same feeling doing straightleg deadlifts on leg day.
I didn’t work out for a week due to work, and coming back I felt great. On my first back day I hit a new deadlift PR (336) and my back felt great. And a few days befor straightleg deadlifts didn’t hurt my back.
Today I came to do leg day, and I went to warm up with 135 front squats I felt a tight pinching in my lower back on the way up. So I decided to wear a belt, and had the same feeling back squatting 225 and 245.
And I was also uncomfortable doing straightleg deadlifts. I did a lot of stretches after my workout, and whether I stretch or not I don’t experience any discomfort normally through the days. Only when I’m doing exercises that engage my lower back in some way. Does anyone have any idea what it may be and something I can do to relieve it.
Thanks
(Note my form on deadlift and squats is good)
