The general consensus is it's never a great idea to throw any large dose of a single amino acid in the body at a time because your biochemical cycles (glycolysis, Krebs, oxidative phosphorylation) are pretty set and throwing a large dose "confuses" them in a way. That said, there are differences between taking it during training as more things are metabolized, but I still don't recommend much.

no but you can say it's better to rely on personal experience and be critical of the "poorly ran" studies and then try to prove a point with studies which demonstrated a positive outcome and not look at how those were run

This sounds like an excuse to me, especially from a man of science like yourself. So poorly ran = a fraudulent outcome? BCAAs through science/studies have been shown to be effective, but now all the studies are in question because of how they were performed?

It's not an excuse. Just because they were studies doesn't make them beyond reproach, especially when methodologies and controls were poorly designed.

I personally feel the majority of these studies are poorly ran, and no one wants to hear "personal trial over study", but at some point we have to start trusting ourselves on what works and what doesn't

I think at this point you should just answer the question. But typical trolly Fug and his sock account, we just carry on with the ridiculous.

Are you there for the Chromadex batch tests? If not, how can you trust them. If you're going to pose that BS for studies (note, you aren't there for the positive studies either), it should hold true for anything. You can't see the air your breathe, how do you know it's there? Dinosaurs never really existed because we didn't see them alive. We never landed on the moon, because none of us were there with Neil.

I could keep going, but...meh. Carry on with your confirmation bias and thank you for confirming my thoughts on Chromadex and all other batch testing. Since we aren't there we can't know if the results are correct. I guess that's all just a waste of money then for the supp manufacturers.

Except plenty of science comes from respected people, including science on BCAAs from guys like Aragon and Schoenfeld. But by your ridiculous argument, if one isn't physically there, how can you trust the result. Same with Chromadex, especially when there is refusal to share said results and the follow up is, "Just trust us."
