If it’s true then it’s a sad time. I’ll miss some of the good bros I’ve gotten to know on here

Wait what? Surely they aren't going to close the site and everything else. I read the article. If it's true then maybe that's why they started charging for their plans?
Any mods got any info? CM? Ice?

It's been a great ride if so. Probably bought 90% of all my supps here throughout the years.

Amazon is killer
bb.com buying and exclusively promoting their own brands has been an issue
It wasnt a sustainable model, not to mention it alienated a lot of people. Bb.com isnt closing, with restructuring and a more fair trade sales scheme they will be fine.Last edited by powercage; 05-03-2018 at 07:32 PM.

It's not just Amazon either, a lot of smaller companies that sell direct or through ********...
companies like Ghost, Myoblox etc
Also, there are many more products available in drugstores, Walmarts even grocery stores than ever before. Hell some HEB in Texas carries full-size 2lbers of ALL Flavors of Quest. Kroger used to carry Myofusion until a few months ago.
As far as the boards, I think there is so much more interaction and information available between online resources and FB groups/pages, people dont need or want to come to boards anymore. I just like interacting with like-minded bros, because any ass that can post some dumb**** in an FB group, but really only people that care a bit more make time to come specifically to the forums IDKStay Frosty

The number in the article is revenue, not profit. If their expenses are more than 70 million, it's still a bad business at 70 million revenue.
I always wonder what their profit margins are. They have sales and discounts so frequently that I hardly ever need to pay full price for anything I order. Either their profit margins have to be fairly high at their regular prices (which are already much lower than the official list price), or they're losing money on their sales. Well, I don't know if the price they pay to the vendors is lower during sales.

someone just gave the 3 letter brand 300 mill to stay afloat. This business model hasn't been up to par, but it's not that bad. Who knows what the future will bring.

Didn't think they would actually close down, their name alone is worth something.
Looks their they are downsizing, I wonder if the whole pay wall for workout plans actually made that much of an effect. Makes sense though as there were loads of people angry about that. Why purchase from a place that goes and charges you for something that was free for a long time.
They also haven't really been bring new supplement lines at least not ones worth a damn. Usually some run of the mill cookie cutter formulas. Pushing bcaas and weak pre-workouts.
Think I've only purchased controlled labs stuff off here lately as their don't carry other brands I'm interested in.
They did try to have something going for them with the cheaper shipping options but only getting free shipping for certain brands. Pretty much pushing those brands, again brands that are meh...

Yea I’m not certain they’re shutting everything down but they do have their HQ up for sale which isn’t a good sign. Guess they’re downsizing and trying to cut corners wherever they can so they can stay afloat until changes are made and they’re back where they need to be.

Maybe they just got tired of Idaho and are looking for a new hip location with craft breweries and pop up restaurants to be in with the times
