I'm close to that and my combined total on cars is ~70k but I buy multiple cars for family reasons. Porsches CAN appreciate for a bit but then they can drop 5 yrs afterwards as porsche develops new tech but at least then you won't be "under".

But who was statistics?
I get your premise that 200K isn't an exuberant amount of money, but acting as though 200K is a highly attainable metric for the average member of the population is laughable. I get your probably some kid posturing on the internet... but seriously, your just embarrassing yourself mate.Outdoors brah is a purely fictitious persona. This is my situation exactly (though I do have debt in the form of a mortgage) and I have a 2016 Corvette and a beater 2003 Explorer.
200k after taxes is more like 150-160k depending on where you live. Then you have housing, retirement/savings, insurance, blah blah blah. It's a comfortable life but I wont be buying Lambos anytime soon lol.

Are you married? do you have kids? lol, That's why they make them, but that doesn't make them desirable in any other way. Unless you're a taxi or using 4 doors on a constant basis, you have too many doors and more to go wrong. I'll tell you what a pain in the ass is: parking a 4 door in a garage. Granted the old classics are long, but I'll take class over a fukkin expensive taxi. 4 door are GAY

if im making 16k+ per month and whatever my wife's salary is I could probably afford to spend 5K monthly on car payments but I would give her the RS3 and drive the GT3 or ZR1 every day.
EDIT: just read the OP I'd get the new M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG wagon. If its one car its really inconvenient to half a 2 seat coupe.Start
