Alright finally back in the gym from pushing my normal OHP day back.

    May 17, 2018 5/3/1 C1, W3, D3
    Body weight 175.6

    Barbell overhead press
    45x10
    45x10
    65x6
    85x5
    100x5 75%
    115x3 85%
    125x5 95% 1+

    Bench Press t&g
    165x5 80% BBB sets
    165x5
    165x5
    165x5
    165x5

Close grip lat pulldown *supersetted with bench
    125x12
    125x12
    125x12
    125x12
    125x12

    Kroc row
    100x10
    100x8
100x22 +2 reps from last week

    Tricep press down
    60x10
    60x10
    60x10
    60x15

    Db spider curls
    25x10
    25x10
    25x10
    25x10

Kettle bell bottom ups 8 passes.

Summary: This serving of WF was my second to last serving of this log. I landed up hitting the gym after work and after taking my 2 daughters to the park to play a little bit. It was my overhead press day and I was looking forward to smashing some weight seeing as the log is ending here soon.

I had my 1 scoop of WF on my way to the gym. Focus really kicked in half way there as I was just mentally honed in. I was tired leading into training since I woke up at 5 AM for work. Also pushing my training back later on in the day also was a factor (landed up leaving to the gym around 5:00 PM).

My energy though by the time I got to the gym was elevated but nothing extreme. It was just the right amount of energy to get me going into my training.

My overhead press felt good for the most part. I wanted more reps on my 1+ set but I'm content with 5 reps on my plus set. Overhead pressing is a weakness of mine so I'm taking small victories in stride.

The focus and pump were the two stand out components of yesterday's training session. Mentally I was dialed in and had that head down mentality through out training.

I had a nice pump through out training, especially towards the end when I did DB Spider Curls. My biceps felt full and the veins were crazy. I took a pic post training unflexed.

Overall the focus and pump along with the smooth energy assisted me with a great training session. Now I have one serving left for today's training session which will be my deadlift/safety squat bar sesh.

Thanks a lot man. Being real with myself I was chubby back then. I never took a cut serious and just ate to benefit my lifting which led to me obviously over eating on calories.

I finally decided to put my body composition as my main goal and went on a long 7-8 month cut and got down to where I'm currently at. I'm the lightest I've been but also in better shape now. It also seems as if my insulin improved cause eating the calories I'm at now would of had me gaining weight back then. Now I'm staying steady at my body weight and still increasing calories every 1-2 weeks.

My deadlift day is going down today. I was going to get it in yesterday but the gym I go to had team training and I didn't want to go late in the evening since I had to be at work today at 5 AM. That would of meant little to no sleep for me.

It'll also be my last training session with WF for this log.

I usually don't like pushing my days back. Now that means I'll be training 3 days in a row to not fall off my normal training schedule.

Lack of sleep definitely affects my training and it's pretty noticeable for me. No amount of calories and hydration can make up for little sleep. That are I double dose my pre workout lol.

Yesterday was a sad day as it was the last serving of White Flash.

    May 19, 2018 5/3/1 C1, W3, D4
    Body weight 176.6

    Deadlift
    135x5
    185x3
    225x3
    280x5 75% speedy
    320x3 85% speedy as well
335x5 95% 1+ Felt solid and fast. I felt I had 2 more reps in the tank.

Safety bar squat BBB 5X5 @80%
    230x5
    230x5
    230x5
    230x5
    230x5

Dumbbell Row *chest supported on incline bench
    60x10
    60x10
    60x10
    60x10
    60x10

    Reverse hyper
    90x15
    90x15
    90x15

Summary: Prior to this training session I had to wake up for work at 3:30 AM and be at work by 5:00 AM. Needless to say by the time I got to getting ready for the gym I was pretty tired.

Luckily I had my last scoop of White Flash for my deadlift/safety squat bar day and it was needed.

Arriving at the gym I was focused and more importantly my energy had improved. I'm not going to lie. I wasn't really wanting to lift yesterday but knew I had to. With that said the increase in energy really was the catalyst for a great training session.

Deadlifts felt awesome, fast and strong. The focus through out each set was great and the energy was smooth and consistent. I definitely needed that focus and energy by the time I got to my Safety Bar Squats.

The great thing was that they felt stronger yesterday than last week which was great.

Again to comment on the energy. Yesterday it was very smooth through out the training session. I think I mentioned this but the energy is one of the most smoothest I've experienced in a pre workout. It doesn't hit you right away, nor really at all. You notice it when you realize how good you feel during your training.

Pumps weren't really prevalent but I wasn't expecting them to be on this day.

It sucks this log is wrapping up but I'm glad I ended it on a good training session. I'll post a seperate post with my final thoughts on White Flash and if it's a product I'd recommend or not.

Thanks to those who followed my log and or lurked.

I want to give a big thank you to Rob and the rest of the team at Controlled Labs. I appreciate you letting me try out White Flash and it's been fun to log my training and thoughts.

Up front I'll say White Flash is an upgrade from White Flood in most areas. I've enjoyed White Flood in the past and White Flash pretty much built upon what White Flood did and made it even better with this new preworkout.

For me the highlight of White Flash is the focus. The focus is some of the best i've experienced with a pre workout. Each workout I was dialed in mentally. Not one time did I have a deviation in terms of my focus nor did anything distract me from my training while I was training. For me there were moments of tunnel vision. Some days it was slightly more pronounced than others but overall the focus was really the shining star for me.

This is something that I look for in a pre workout. Let's face it, life gets in the way and can easily distract you from your tranining. To have a pre that can provide focus like White Flash does is a win in my book.

The second component that stood out to me was the amazing pumps and vascularity that I got during my log. Not many pre workouts have given me the type of Pump that WF has gave. A couple have and this one is definitely in that group.

Some days the pumps were better than others and this is due to a variety of factors (hydration, nutrition, etc, etc) but for the most part the pumps were solid. There were some days when vascularity was insane (I've included a pic from a training session showing that) and I had veins popping out like crazy. This was one of the better pres that delivers on pumps and vascularity and I enjoyed every moment of it through out.

Now the energy is something I wanted to talk more about. When you look at the label you see 300mg of caffeine. Now a majority are going to think this is a high amount of caffeine and would expect to feel all buzzed and energetic. Well it's really the opposite of that.

The energy White Flash provided me was nothing that stood out in terms of me feeling all energetic and buzzed. Instead it was the type of energy that wasn't really noticeable like some other pres I've had. Yeah I would get a small increase in energy i.e. if I was tired prior to training I wouldn't be as tired by the time I got to the gym.

Instead it's the type of energy that's calm and smooth. You notice through out your training that you're feeling good and that mentally you're just locked in with your training (that's the strong focus component). You realize that what might of been a sub par training session just turned into one great training session. I never felt over stimulated through out my time with White Flash. This led to a great come down with no crash at all during my time running this log.

I was able to even go to sleep a couple nights soon after getting home from the gym with no real issues.

Now I'm going to be honest. There were some days where I had wished the energy was felt a bit more like some other pres that I'm use to. Some days I needed that bit of kick start, especially when I had some early morning training sessions or ones that were after a long day of work. For the most part though the energy was the smoothest I've experienced with a pre and really was similar to how White Flood was for me.

The Green Apple flavor was great with 12oz of cold water and I really never had an issue consuming it. One scoop mixed up great whether I used a fork or shaked it up in my shaker bottle. I also appreciate the open label so consumers can see exactly what their getting with each ingredient.

I would definitely recommend White Flash to anyone reading this log that is interested in trying a new pre workout. Controlled Labs has nothing but great products in their line up and this is just another great addition.

Again thanks a lot to Rob and Controlled Labs for letting me run White Flash. Hopefully this log provided you with some insight on White Flash or helps you make a decision to try it out or not.

No problem man. I had no idea you were part of CL

I overall enjoyed the smoothness of the energy and how it just made my training sessions feel great.
