Hello I'm new here and have a question. I was bulking on a diet of about 4500 calories/day. I switched over to cutting for the past 3 weeks and am eating about 1600 calories/day now. I've lost 19 pounds in those 3 weeks and plan on continuing cutting for a few more weeks. I noticed my metabolism changed because when I first made the switch I was losing weight rapidly while now I'm losing it much slower.
I'm looking to do a 35,000 calorie cheat day and I'm wondering if there is a limit to what the body absorbs especially when in the extreme low calorie consumption state. I'm currently losing about 0.6 pounds/day meaning I should be burning 3,700/day total(assuming 1lb fat/3500 cal).
If there isn't a limit, I went back to 1,600/day afterwords, I would be at a 31,300 surplus and I would either suddenly gain ~9 pounds of pure fat or over the course of the next few days even eating only 1,600/day I would slowly put on ~9 pounds of fat minus what I would have normally lost in that time. Which is a no go. I've always been one to eat a lot and I really want to do this cheat day but if there really isn't an absorption limit or something that's going to prevent me gaining 9 lbs of fat off 1 day of eating, I can't do it. A couple lbs is no prob

If a 35000 cal cheat meal started from New York to LA at the same time a 1600 cal cutting diet started from LA to New York, in which state would you hit maintenance?

I'm so relieved I don't have to do any of these maths. I just eat a balanced diet and lift weights

This is very serious question, so I feel obligated to immediately address it for you. To actually accomplish this very reasonable feat, I imagine you would have to consume a diet that was extremely high in fat (given the satiating qualities of protein and carbs). So, perhaps you might consider injecting that fat directly into the duodenum, bypassing the stomach altogether (and eliminating the pesky transport time delay).
Regardless, let us know how this perfectly sound diet plan works out for you.
