bought EOS at 60k sats, sold at 148k sats. Damn thing isn't coming back down. Reaching new ATH sats and USD. This is first time I've had any FOMO feelings since the 800 bil mcap.

so basically he said it'll implode when mainnet releases? i highly doubt it. the closer we get to june the more "priced-in" that will be, peak FOMO will take over and then when mainnet hits it'll certainly dump. but it won't implode, too much dumb money floating around in the space to let that happen

OMG moving up in terms of percentage in my portfolio. Around 36% right now. It's likely it will get a slight smack down in the coming days, but it's looking pretty healthy right now. ZEN has done the complete opposite over the past few days, but such is life.

As Jamal said, this is kind of a different beast. Before, we were having fork after fork and everyone would abandon their alts for BTC and it would pump like crazy. USDs would stay pretty level but they'd get killed in sats.

Now it's not forks. Just more money coming in so they might play nice together.

The "buy the rumour sell the news" strat works well if you don't really believe there is anything to any of the tokens and projects. It's a safe way to accumulate lots and lots of useless USDs

intredasting. I ask because a few times in the past I missed the boat whenever something hit mainnet and it did moon. Yesterday I sold a bit of my ZRX stack and put it into AST for their marketplace launch tomorrow, and now it's dumping hard af while ZRX is going up.

its an easy way to pump the price. since its a speculative market and its not really integrated yet, you can get huge with the "what if's"

so and so is going to be like amazon, apple, etc.

let those rumors run rampant that this announcement is gonna be "huge" but then ultimately the announcement pretty much always ends up underwhelming. so since you rode the wave up you take your profits

i think the reason people are saying that it might not be tied as closely is because of new exchanges and new entries into different alts are coming alive.

as crypto itself becomes more widespread, the less you have to use btc to buy everything else

It's kind of a hivemind type of thing, zero actual point in selling the news if its good news.

I believe it's some sort of mechanism we use to guarantee us profits, alot of people feel jaded from being ****ed over on a stock or crypto when it's rising and rising and once good news hits it bottoms out into **** ville, makes you go "what in the fk happened?"...to deny that thought you just sell the news and guarantee yourself gains...even it's they are miniscule...never count on a moon mission.

To add to what others responded, in crypto, not only do markets move so much faster, but many of the projects aren't working yet. So when you have a pattern that you know you can follow, chitcoin x announces they have an announcement. That announcement ends up being along the lines of getting a good deal on office equipment but cleverly worded it to sound smart. The underwhelming news causes people to sell. Because the markets react so fast in crypto, now when a company has legit news, people sell to take profit. Soon after that morphs into scraping profits earlier and earlier, which is what I think we had since March of this year.
