I'm taking DHEA for couple months now.. started off with 100mg tabs, which at the very beginning was amazing.
Then I started to feel the benefits less and less and been also noticing higher estrogen (obviously) kind of in cycles.. 3-4 bad days, then it stabilized again.
I've reduced the dose since then to 25mg (pour the powder out of the cap and use it sublingually)...
and I've started taking DIM to further minimize and/ or prevent the aromatisation of T to estrogen.
However, I've seen mixed opinions on DIM.. even talked to some experts and apparently it can actually INCREASE estrogen.
Have seen this on one forum as well.. What's the deal ?
I've had amazing sex drive the first few weeks, than strangely enough it peaked during times my estrogen was high (bloated, unmotivated, weak, swelled up joints, foggy mind, but HORNY AF). Currently, my libido is very low again.. I keep taking the 25mg DHEA + Maca, which usually affects my sex drive pretty quickly and positively - not now though.
Does anybody here have experience with DIM and how it affects the hormones ?
How to optimally combine it / cycle it with DHEA ?
And why my sex drive peaked with high estrogen levels ?
My Goal (obviously): high testosterone, high sex drive, low estrogen

I looked into this for you. While there seems to be no studies looking at DIM as an anti-estrogen in healthy people like you, I saw researchers specuilate that it might "potentially serve as an antiestrogenic dietary supplement " for those with thyroid disease. Here's a link to the study
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3048776/
You really have to take research like this with a grain of salt though until better human studies are done. All that said do you know what your estrogen level is? You say you feel like you've noticed higher estrogen but the only way to really know is to get it tested.
Hope that helps

I did blood work twice while taking DIM and saw no change in E2 or anything else with it.
My doc (specializes in hormone stuff) is strongly against males taking DHEA unless their levels are below 200 ug/dl.
The lesson here is to get lab work done first before screwing with hormone levels.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

thanks guys.
Ye, this is the thing with DIM.. I keep reading mixed opinions on this.
So according to the article, taking stuff to increase Testosterone (let's say DHEA and Pregnenolone) and DIM simultaneously would just block the effects of DHEA ?
I've been taking DIM 5-6 years ago as a teen and it really helped with bitch tits.
Now I've also noticed my chest gets flatter and I overall feel and look better.. more toned, better skin, whiter eyes. But my dick wasn't working...
And also, if it did actually block the testosterone, it's no point taking in combination with DHEA.
I am getting my bloodwork done on monday, testing DHT, total and free T, LH, Pregnenolone, Estradiol, SHBG and FSH.
Is DIM actually 'testable' as a hormone by itself ? As the clinic doesn't offer that.. also, surprisingly they don't offer estrogen. Just e2.
