Muscletech Gronk series Protein Bars

WOW is my first thought; honestly! While I'll admit I don't do a whole lot of bars, and I haven't tried a protein bar in a while, I'm so impressed with these! I usually take some pre-made food with me if I'm on the boat, at my son's ball games, out running errands etc... because I just haven't found a bar I really like...until now. Again, it's been a while since I've tried a bar and, boy, have they come a long way.
Bars of the past either have a very dense texture; a dry, chemical taste or aftertaste; or both. Not these; soft texture, not too dense, and a very accurate and pleasing taste. Koweanguy and Muscletech gave me the opportunity to try the Chocolate Caramel Peanut and the Chocolate Deluxe and I really can't pick a favorite.
They call them a "protein candy bar" which scared me a little being that I eat pretty strict and don't eat candy, candy bars etc... because I have lost my sweet tooth for it. So I was leary that these would be too sweet for me and I was pleasantly wrong; perfect balance of sweet and flavor. And the numbers are very well balanced too which is important to me.
Can't say how pleased I am to find a bar I like to eat, with good numbers, and that is now a convenient way to take along with me when I'm out.
If these things are important to you too, these are the bars for you!

MT and KG were nice enough to send a lot of these bars out. MT did a great job with the taste and textures imo as well. Before you get hammered with comments, I would probably try and post pictures of the bars. I know from a rep point of view we appreciate folks that add in pictures on top of their thoughts/comments. Photos can help show people what the actual bar looks, however also shows that the reviewer actually consumed the bar/product. Sorry if it appears that I am trying to 'call you' (not the case), we just have had too many cases of people doing lazy reviews and then selling off the product. With that being said, I am surprised that caramel peanut flavor didn't make you want another one. I know I can't just have one lol.

Ahh, I hear ya; and not taken as a call out; taken as a good reminder! There's another thread, and I shouldn't assume everyone has seen it, with around 97 pics already so I didn't want to be redundant. But it's not this thread so I will add pics tonight when I get home from work.

Ok, so I had already tried both flavors but wanted to get my son in on them as well. So I cut up one of each for us to try together; and another for me to use with an idea I had. Anyway, again, I can't choose a favorite and I liked them both just as much as the first time I tried them. Neither the texture nor the taste gets old with these. My son, being a chocoholic, liked the chocolate deluxe a little better but he also said he liked them both.



So after that, I still wanted to try my idea of heating a caramel peanut bar and having it with ice cream!



This is after heating the bar which went fine; no explosions! The bar kind of melted a little as expected. And it looked like it would be softer as the insides kind of swelled and oozed out a little but it held it's texture nicely. Ice cream added on the side and away I went!!





This is definitely something I would recommend and will do again!! I've been on a cut for the last 4 months for a show I just had so I haven't been able to enjoy anything like this so this was a real treat for me tonight.

Thanks for the review and pics! I like how you chopped it into little pieces, I remember doing the same when the NT bars first came out and sampled each one
What was your favorite flavor out of the two?

Honestly I liked them both. If I was forced to pick one, I would lean towards the caramel peanut though. I'm still just shocked at how much better these are than bars of the past I had tried. Really a perfect balance.
