G'day ladies and gents,
I'm 37 and I just started working out after 5 years of break. When I stopped working out 5 years ago, I was very lean but putting on muscle was always problematic for me.
What annoys me currently is fat around my pecs. It just looks wierd underneath my shirt and I'd love to get rid of it. Please see the attached pictures.
Is this just fat or gyno? I have quite undeveloped pecs, so I'm thinking even small amount of fat around pecs would look bad.
And what's the best thing for me to do now, reduce fat first and then build muscle, or the other way around? Or both at the same time?
I keep reading that building muscle and reducing fat at the same time is not possible. However I believe it is as I achieved this in the past after reading Poliquin diet and eating high fat, high protein, low carb diet.

You have to talk to doctor about those things. But, judging by your pictures, chance of gyno is extremely minimal, you have normal chest.
After starting from a big break, I would recommend slow bulk, aim to gain 1-2lb a month.

Thanks mate!
It's very annoying because under the shirt the just look wierd, like small women's breasts.
Do you think it makes sense to follow what I did in the past (high fat, high protein, minimal carb)? This is when I achieved the best results, gained more muscle and lost more fat than on any other diet. I attached the picture. Not impressive but for me this was the peak.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Not a chance that's gyno IMO. Put on some muscle and it'll fill out. Get on a proven regimen and eat as suggested above, it'll come.

See your doctor, OP. No one can make such a diagnosis from a pic on an internet forum.
Good luck.No brain, no gain.
