I'm not getting the results I would like in the gym, in term of putting on size (I'm a slim guy). I've only been going for five months now so I know have a ways to go as far as muscle grown goes. My assumption was and is, my problem has to do with my diet. I'm not not eating enough and I'm trying to fix that. But more recently I'm starting to think I'm not be pushing myself hard enough at the gym. Whether it's only doing 10 reps when I should be doing 15, losing focus when counting my reps, or taking too many breaks, I could be doing better.
So my is question when did you realize you needed to start pushing yourself at the gym and how did you start doing it?
I would suggest strong lifts, such as 5x5 workout program or something similar like 6-8 reps. Also good thing from this is that after heavy lifting, I get much more hungry, so you're gonna eat more food and fill your daily needs. catch ya later mate
Get on a good program - like Fierce 5 - that has a progression scheme (telling you sets, reps, and when to add weight. That will help you push yourself.
Steady progress is vital, its a process, not a product, don't rush into heavy weights, you might injure yourself, take it slow and you'll get ripped in no time.
I've always pushed myself it's just that it wouldn't have been possible to apply the same intensity 2 years ago as I can now, no matter how much I might have wanted to or tried. I'm sure I'll say the same thing a couple of years from now.
When you've been picked on countless times and know that that life is not you. You start to work for your dreams and so that one day you may reach them.
