I got one. Do any of you listen to podcast regularly if so what is a good one? Can be fitness related or not.

My first pick is The Joe Rogan Experience. He makes stuff I am not even interested, interesting.

    A few options here.....

    1) Add small amounts of oils or nut butters to your meals throughout the day
    2) Throw in some liquid calories
    3) Make a calorie dense snack like a PB&J, Bagel with PB or Cream Cheese, etc.......

You'll find that it is a lot easier than you think. :-)

My grocery list rarely varies. Enough fish, chicken, and beef to last me and my girlfriend the week, sometimes a little turkey too. Plenty of carbs for me, and vegetables for her. Enough milk tofeed drown a village. Oh and beer. Gotta cheat calories in somehow.

Wife does groceries but make my requests to her. This week I asked for:
    Broc**** Slaw
    Ground beef
    Sandwich thins
    Cheese
    Siracha Ranch dressing

If you can't tell my grocery list is mostly what I have for lunches for the week. I forgot to add 2 dozen eggs. That covers most of the breakfast meals

I love those sandwhich thins!!!! They actually have a really good texture.

Aside from my crockpot chicken recipes and tilapia fillets, I tried something new this week and I am actually eating some right now.

I added the following to my rice cooker:
Frozen Chopped Kale + Multi-Color Quinoa

Then once it was done I mixed in a few handfuls of dried cranberries.........

New Topic: Favorite Whey Protein Recipe?

I am bretty basic when it comes to whey protein recipes, so I am a sucker for a good "sludge".

The most interesting one I have used was Whey Protein Coffee Creamer which is super simple........You take a couple scoops of whey and mix it with skim milk (or whole/2%/1%/Alomnd etc....). You can add in different flavored Sugar Free Syrup and extracts for more interesting flavors.

Definitely a big podcast listener. I do lab work most of the day so it's great to listen to something interesting or entertaining. Recently, I have been binge listening to a podcast called Criminal. I've basically gone through all the past shows up to this point. I also have really enjoyed other "True Crime" podcasts like Serial and West Cork. The podcasts I listen to most frequently are mostly sports talk or politics. My favorite is probably The Ben Shapiro Show. Have also listened to some really interesting neuroscience/psychology podcasts from Sam Harris. Lots of great material out there for sure!

Have heard Sam Harris several times on Rogan. Interesting and makes my brain hurt at the same time

    Topic: Trap training

Do you all like to work the traps directly or simply through other lifts like deadlifts and rows?

These days I just stick with heavy rows and Trap Stretches with heavy weight (similar to rack pull). I have tried Power Shrugs and BB Shrugs, but always seem to have a pounding headache the next day.......anyone else have this happen?

Never had headaches from shrugs but I do shrugs 3 days a week. None are that heavy though. I find the best results from squeezing them at the top for a 2 count each rep. I try to get in DB shrugs, Hammer Shrugs and some sort of barbell shrug each week

You lift significantly heavy weights on big lifts though don't you (aka move houses)?

    Topic: Favorite Whey Protein Recipe?

I am bretty basic when it comes to whey protein recipes, so I am a sucker for a good "sludge".

The most interesting one I have used was Whey Protein Coffee Creamer which is super simple........You take a couple scoops of whey and mix it with skim milk (or whole/2%/1%/Alomnd etc....). You can add in different flavored Sugar Free Syrup and extracts for more interesting flavors.

It will always be the king- protein pancakes. So many different pancake recipes, so many different flavors of protein, so many possibilities. I'm a sucker for breakfast food, and honestly couldn't pick one single Protein pancake recipe as the best.

Until recently, I've always trained traps directly. I typically follow a simple 5/3/1 and add in brutal accessory lifts. (ie. weighted nods, forearm curl supersets, heavy shrugs, etc.) Just focus on form and deliberate movement, and you can avoid that nasty neck twinge so many talk about.

I love a good protein cake. I have actually been meaning to try out a protein bar recipe that uses pancake mix (kodiak cakes). Saw it on Steve Shaw's YT channel.

Topic: Building your back - what kind of exercises do you incorporate?

The last few months I have stuck to Heavy Rows 2-3x per week and results are nasty. The only downside that I have found is that if I do not include one refeed day (typically middle of the week) than I am DEAD!

    :-) I miss your face......

Technically all you need is a solid Gluten-Free diet and a good Shake-Weight. Unfortunately those fat burners only target fat loss in certain areas. :-D
