CNN seems to be the only source stating that he got the gun from the parents' bathroom, unless the source was somehow updated.

A 13-YEAR-old girl was shot dead by her younger brother in what cops say was a tragic row over a computer game controller.
Dijonae White died in Le Bonheur's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, on Sunday night after reportedly being shot in the back of the head.
Dijonae was said to have died after being shot in the back of her head
Dijonae's mother Chalandra who was in the house when the tragedy happened
Officers say the boy, 9, grabbed a .25 calibre handgun at about 1pm on Saturday when his bigger sister would not give up the controller as they played
He then allegedly shot Dijonae from behind and the bullet entered her brain causing catastrophic injuries.
A local sheriff said it was unclear how the boy obtained the gun. It is also unclear what consequences the young boy will face.
"He's just nine," said Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell.

That's about the only place a 9-year old would get a gun. It's weird because my parents grew up with guns on the living room wall(from the South). But these kids today are neglected and/or drugged up depressed and violent, so you just can't leave guns unlocked at home if kids are around anymore.

if that was your point then you picked a very strange way of making it. at least that one is still quite arguably valid even with the original fallacy post.
Edit:
No worries. I'm not rustled my dude. just genuinely wanted to know if this was like an anti-gun thread, or just stating something horrible happened, or something else.40: 4.3s

I punched a hole thru a door over a (cheating) video game controller.
Brother once kicked my in the face over a video game controller.
Next door neighbor stabbed his brother in the ear with scissors over a video game controller.
This was back in the early 90's so we're all in our 40's now and don't do stupid chit over video game controllers anymore. Ok occasionally one will still get chucked across the room, but we're not getting hurt about it anymore.Boston sports crew
