    Yesterday ended up about 1400. Had a cadbury caramel egg from my after easter stash. Today is a bit off. I've just felt tired and back is sore from the heavy session. I ate most of my calories in snacky things before 4 pm. No real meal, just random nibbles. Low protein but oh well. Have stuff so next several days are set with veggies and protein with less treats.


    lenny&larry lemon poppyseed cookie
    caramel cadbury egg
    timtams (to finish off the pack cause it doesn't really close)
    tried scandel-less cookies and cream low calorie ice cream, eh might be okay to use for protein shakes later
    half a service of sweet corn and waffle cone S&S delicious ice cream
    bbq pork jerky

    Right now mostly going to have coke zero for dinner. Almost want to go to bed but really need to write. Working on dealing between two stores for work. Fun times all around. But weight is actually drifting down so just need to not mess it up too much with the sweets. 133 is right about weight class so I can start looking for future meets. Hopefully can get below 130 and keep it there or lower for summer. Might need to get a little stricter on food choices though, for at least part of the time.

    Lighter day since back to work. Managed an okay squat session too. Calories are just under 1200 with around 80 grams of protein, so not bad.

    1. kiwi berries, cantaloupe, mandarin orange, envy apple
    2. broc****, green beans, brussels' sprouts, chicken
    3. turkey and cheese on wheat
    4. jicama, half container of blackberry serrano noosa with 1/4 cup oats

    Weight this morning was 134.2. Nice to see the previous low weight as now the higher weight. Still hoping for about 131 by the end of the month. Average for the last 7 days is 134.6.

    Not too bad yesterday with work. Tried sandwich breakfast and fruit lunch instead since it's a longer time between starting my shift and lunch break on morning shifts compared to the hours after lunch to when get to leave. Still had a little hunger but not quite as much as the day before.

    1. turkey and cheese on wheat
    2. blackberry serrano yogurt, oats, jicama, blood orange, mango, cantaloupe, kiwi berries
    3. maple glazed one protein bar
    4. brocc, egg whites, pepperoni, provolone cheese slice

    Calories were about 1300 with protein over 80. Weight was 134.4.

    Today I have a much shorter shift so won't have a lunch break. Going to bring a protein bar to snack on during the shift when we have slow moments. Got to cook a little and get some dishes done.

    So far:
    1. coffee with creamer
    2. egg whites, provolone, pepperoni, brocc, black bean pasta, sweet potato noodles
    3. (pending) carb killa protein bar
    and probably something else too since not at 1200 calories yet for that.

    Today I ended up having aside from lunch the carb killa white chocolate cookie protein bar along with a reese's pb egg at work. At home I had a lean pocket jalapeno cheddar, which mmm cause pretzel bread plus cheesy jalapeno goodness. Calories over are about 1300 with just over 80 in protein.

    Alright so today was in my calorie range but not what some would call diet friendly. About half the calories for today came from 2 krispy kreme doughnuts. I walked to the location, which is just under an hour each way so almost 2 hours of walking for the treat. The oreo one was eh, okay. Tasted mostly of chocolate. Cinnamon bun was delicious though. Protein is a little low but calories are just under 1300.

    3. black bean pasta, sweet potato noodles, sriracha chicken, small amount of mushrooms and zucchini

    Reading wise = I finished reading Beyond Trans. It's an interesting book on sex identity markers and discrimination based on perceived sex identity. Makes interesting cases for where the author thinks we don't need to have listed sex identity and the changing of places like all female colleges and integrating some sports teams. So far, even with my short hair, I haven't been mistaken as male but we had an issue arise in high school where we had security called on because someone thought there was a boy in the girls changing room. It was a female sax player, she just was rather masculine in how she dressed and such. She was used to that kind of thing though and laughed them off when people mistook her for male.

    Also finished listening to 50 Cents book, Formula 50. Doesn't have the nutrition insert and a couple hours of it was listing off exercises and such. Still was a bit entertaining just to have the author reading it cause 50 Cent. Ended with frequently asked questions, which did entertain as well with his answers and typical questions like "but I'm female and don't want to get bulky."


    So, Friday night, I got no sleep at all. Tried. Cat was in the bed cuddling and he slept but I got none. Made it difficult not to snack cause I keep treats in my room in attempt to have them for myself and not get consumed by my sister, but I managed. I almost got a pastry when I went to Panera for a writing group after going to the gym but decided against it. Sure, I could make it fit and I have a dollar off reward for one, but didn't feel like 500 calories in pastries for two days in a row. Did have a lot of caffeine yesterday and still went to bed early cause tired.

    1. small orange red bull, coffee
    2. bolilo roll, smoked provolone, havarti (pressed on mini grill)
    3. few bites of Salt and Straw ice cream, one spoon of the waffle cone one and tried black olive brittle with goat cheese
    4. no cow raspberry protein bar, starbucks cold brew
    5. egg whites, havarti, brocc, zucchini, butter tortilla from vallartas

    Calories around 1300 again and low on protein, not quite to my preferred 80 minimim.

    Well, an okay day off. I walked to the library and returned the GRE study book even though didn't get through it all. I did the first test and that was enough to show me that I need a major refresher on all the math. Know enough basic math to pass the test for pharmacy tech, but don't remember all of the rules and formulas. Got a book called Painless Algebra to start off.

    1. coffee with a little creamer, tortilla and provolone cheese
    2. arby's: brisket sandwich and curly fries
    3. brocc, brussel's sprouts, egg whites, a maple sausage link

    Almost 1500 calories and almost 80 grams of protein. Think next time I will just go with the basic arby sandwich. Brisket was okay but not great though the horseradish sauce helped. I kinda want candy or ice cream but we'll see. Trying to avoid it. Did walk a fair amount and have done some cleaning. Might need to clean more cause that is how we procrastinate editing. lol

    Ended up with 1800 calories for yesterday as struggled to fall asleep so ended up eating a couple thin oreos and a pastel pecan easter egg. Delicious but did bring the calories up a little. BW this morning was 135 from the sodium and such.

    So far today:
    1. flour tortilla
    2. roll, havarti cheese slice, maple pretzel nuts&more
    3. cold brew at starbucks

    Plan for dinner is egg whites and veggies again. Maybe a little sweet habit ice cream as need to consume that one since it's the bigger container and takes up more space. Might add a little of the nuts and more to it as the flavor is very light. Plus, it's delicious and does have pretzel pieces in it. mmm

    Hi there. Thanks for stopping by though it's nothing special. Just post my workouts over in the female threads but thought on this cut I'd try posting my food somewhere, hence this journal.


    Dinner was mostly veggies and some egg whites. Also tried baking small tortillas in a cupcake pan with stuff in them but not much fit in. Got a tiny bit of veggies, couple pieces from a sausage link and some egg whites. The shell got crunchy baked, the edges not with egg and such involved. Not bad considering looked like it wasn't going to work.

    Calories for today are around 1400 calories. Average for the week was still 1400 even with the 1800 day. Back to work tomorrow for a couple of days. But coworker texted and asked to switch shifts so I get to sleep in a little. Will be nice except depends when I fall asleep. And I should be writing. Though I did listen some to the communication audiobook I borrowed from the library called Reconcilable Differences: Connecting in a Disconnected World.

    Little more controlled today and made protein goal (though barely) while being on the lower side for calories. Helps that I had work so not around the food as much.

    1. turkey and cheese sandwich, cold brew from yesterday
    2. black bean pasta, sweet potato noodles, zucchini, onions, mushrooms
    3. combat crunch bar
    4. tortilla baked with a little bit of egg whites, sausage, veg and a mini quesadilla with muenster cheese

    Tempted to have a spoonful of the nuts n more cause pb and crunchy pretzels but probably will refrain. Have just under 1200 calories with 80 grams of protein. Morning weigh in was back down to 133.6 from the 135 of the day before. It feels slow slow when you look at the single days. So I went on the happy scale app and looked back a month ago. March 15 I had 139.4 and the 18th it was up to 141.6 with a couple measurements posted (didn't have it every single day then) in between those two. Which does mean in just over a month the average has gone down. Good sign. Just need to keep on trucking along.

    Those daily fluctuations are killer. I also read somewhere that women should compare weights from 4 weeks prior because there is a natural cycle of weight with the monthly cycle. Keep trucking indeed!

    Those daily fluctuations are killer. I also read somewhere that women should compare weights from 4 weeks prior because there is a natural cycle of weight with the monthly cycle. Keep trucking indeed!
    They can be killer but glad to have now. It was helpful being able to look back a month ago and after a cycle or two can really see how my body trends with the usual hormones and such.


    Today was a lighter day cause well, didn't eat at all until late lunch. Usually I can get to work in the morning with under 30 minutes to spare so I eat food then but this morning with traffic, construction car and accident on other side of the road at one point, I wasn't late but didn't have time either to eat. And with the morning shift I usually don't get lunch until 4+ hours in, this time over 5 hours with having to wait for the one who had the earlier shift plus the newer guy needing to go before me. I had a couple bites of a protein bar while working but didn't get much until lunch break.

    1. power bar whey protein bar
    2. jack link's tender beef jerky (finished on way to gym from work), black pepper mini red potatoes, "cutie" orange
    3. tortilla with bit of egg, black beans and such in it, then egg whites and 3 breakfast sausages

    Have over 900 calories yet still made it past 80 grams of protein. Not sure what snack to have before bed. So many options and plenty of calories left over. Could even had the poptarts I've hidden from my sister or a pb twix. hmmm We'll see what I decide. Morning weigh-in was 133.6.

    Usually why I don't mind having a little lower earlier in day cause can pick whatever I want later, though I struggle at picking sometimes. However, last night I just went to bed.     Yeah it's a tad low. And guess who is cuddled up against my computer right now as I'm sitting on my bed typing this... ;-) Roommate's cat is a bit needy at times. He likes to cuddle all night long and sleeps either by my side or right on the back of my legs.

    I'm averaging over 1300 for the week calorie wise as most days I get 1300-1400 but on Sunday I think it was I had around 1700 with fast food involved. Trouble is figuring out what to have today as ran out of my cooked veggies and those desserts at BJs are high in calories. Driving so can keep from putting too many calories on drinks at least. Just want to enjoy a small treat and that is all tonight with the coworkers. I'm not the only one watching what I eat though cause one pharmacist won't be eating at all tonight. Her wedding photo shoot is in a couple of days so she's on a hard core part of her diet.

    Probably going to be a day of protein bars and such then dessert tonight.

    Yesterday wasn't too bad. Ended up with higher calories but not by much as I went with the mini at the restaurant. And I ate more than protein bars before cause I filled in at a different store where the pharmacist bought sandwiches and salad so I joined in as they were small ones that were around the same calories as the protein bar I had planned, though little bit less protein. Going out was fun though I ordered the pb smores pizookie but something got missed in the translation as I ended up with just a regular pb one. It was okay but when you are expecting smores and just get a regular peanut butter cookie, it's a miss. Had a little beer too.

    Friday

    Weight yesterday morning was 133. Calories ended up around 1600. Today, I weighed out of curiosity and scale said 131.6.

    upset stomach
    3. take 5 candy bar

    Have almost 1200 calories so far. Didn't go to gym though. Not used to working on saturday's and was tired, plus my knee/back were a bit achy as I spent nearly all of the last two shifts at the register, which means moving around even less in the small work space.

    Weight has been down a little again. That end of month woosh before hormones start kicking in for shark week. Yesterday morning was 130.8 and today 130.6. It will probably go up a little but looking good to make it under 130 in May.

    Sunday

    Last couple of days the calories were 1500-1600 but with fair amount of walking around. This morning the number was up a little, as I figured would happen. 131.8 which is still good. Need to take measurements again but will do that Thursday since I try to sleep in as much as I can before going to my work shift since leave 1.5 hours before have to clock in to make sure traffic issues or anything don't arise and make me late.

    Yesterday was another lower calories work day with a late lunch. Trouble with the morning shift is the first person has to go to lunch on time or it throws everyone else off. Ended up just over 30 minutes late for lunch break, which the state tends to frown on cause there is a rule that you have to go to lunch by your 5th hour on the shift. Usually it's only a few minutes late but yesterday was latest so far. I was hungry too as I was hungry in the morning but extra traffic put me in only 15 minutes before the shift started and barely had time to eat a small sandwich, no energy drink, before clocking in. Went to bed early cause I had a headache off and on most of the day but didn't take anything for it until around 9 pm.

    Weight is also showing a trend now that I've used the happyscale app for over a month. At the very end of March I had a drop down to 134, then by around the 3rd it was up to 136. End of April saw a drop to around 131 and now, it's up to 134. Should be having monthly cycle soon, so this could be a pattern emerging though will give it a few more months to tell.

    yesterday's food - around 1200 calories, almost 80 on protein
    1. turkey and cheese on wheat
    2. jasmine rice, carrots, peas, two hard boiled eggs
    3. cottage cheese
    4. half caramel eclair from Portos, 1 sandwich slim with excedrin to help with headache

    Not sure how the weekend will go. My higher calorie days tend to be days off, which have often been the weekends. However, I have off today and Monday instead, working at two store near the apartment over the next three days. Have a little food prepped but need to get more ready. Prep does help as does not being around all the food for too long. So far not having many issues with lifting on the lower calories though Tuesday's squat session was rough. 5x3 @ 185 with only about 900 calories consumed before caused a bit of a struggle but made it through. Will be interesting to see if I can increase any of my maxes during this cut. But need to pick a meet first then figure out a peak cycle. For now, focusing on the food.

    Also am listening to two books. One on fear and the other on the eroticism of music.

    Spoke too soon yesterday. Got a text while I was at gym asking about switching shifts, so I ended up working yesterday. Days off are Sunday and Monday now.

    I like chocolate mint sometimes but not really in the form of ice cream, or those yorkie patties. I got this ice cream from Salt & Straw as they have a store in Studio City. They do some interesting flavors though the sweet corn and waffle corn is a tame one. I also have a black olive brittle and goat cheese pint in the freezer from the same location. I know some on the site get ice cream shipped either from amazon or goldbely but they can be pricey. I'm lucky enough that being in LA have many options locally. Though hard on the cut with all the tasty options available.

    Not much special today. Didn't have food with so ended up with lots of snacky protein for lunch, then went to gym after work and did heavy lifting on just less than 600 calories. Did pretty well considering. Though will admit been feeling a little run down from it all the past couple of weeks with the lower calories. Went to bed at 10 but didn't fall asleep until after 1 am plus woke up often so that didn't help. Now for 2 days off from work. yay

    Weigh in this morning was around 133.4 but reason for recent increase showed up too. Ah the joys of the monthly cycle. Cramps and minor aches but nothing unusual.

    1. no calories monster before shift
    2. bbq pork jerky, premier protein pb bar.
    3. jalapeno poppers, barbacoa taco skillet, corn, asparagus
    4. candy bar halo top, mini chocolate bar
    considering a beer but probably won't. Calories are around 1450 for today with most of it being dinner (3&4)

    Squats had felt heavy tuesday but deadlifts today went pretty well. Managed 3x2 @ 255, so better than expected.

    I'm kinda hungry but part of it is not hunger just the idea of the food sounds good. And by this I mean, there is a Little Caesars across from the Starbucks where I'm at and I kinda want to eat a whole cheese in crust pizza. Not worth the 1700+ calories but can still daydream as I sett for a cold brew and cheese stick.

    Lost my fitbit. Good thing I don't use it to track activity really. Sad cause it was my only watch. Now, I just have my phone, which I technically left at the gym today but thankfully someone turned it in so I was able to get it when I went back.
