Finished listening to Visionary Women. It was interesting but more so the two of the four women I'd heard about before. The last one, Alice Waters, had a restaurant and influenced the movement for organic foods and farm to table style cooking from what it said but didn't really know about her beforehand, which made it hard to keep interested in the end.
Last couple of days have been eh. Mostly lean cuisine meals and such though a bit of candy every now and then. Getting more settled back into counting calories and getting below 2000.
1-20
coffee with creamer
double fudge brownie protein bar
tuna sandwich
almond butter snickers
garlic sesame noodles with beef
greek strawberry cheesecake yogurt
1-21
coffee with creamer
lean cuisine mac and cheese
jalapeno tuna
apple walnut salad
lasagna lean cuisine with extra cheese
glazed turkey lean cuisine
trolli gummies
today 1-22
coffee with flavor syrup
vegetable buddha bowl
thai tuna
lenny larry chocolate cookie
apple walnut salad
and probably a lean cuisine
Also, finally stepped on the scale now that I got a new batter put in and oy. Knew it was up but around 6 months of not tracking, weighing myself, holidays, vegas and such.... 149. Up around 20 lbs. I can gain far easier than lose it seems. Now to get that back down below 132 to compete, then some day maybe I'll see below 120 to be in the healthy range for my height.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Did end up having a lean cuisine pepperoni pizza last night. Today was pretty easy after all. Got to sleep in, mostly did so because of headache. Had one for the past few days. Then worked a 6 hour shift where learned I didn't have to take a lunch break so I left my salad for tomorrow.
Today's food:
coffee with creamer
clif honey pb bar
cauliflower burrito bowl with cheddar cheese
cheese stick
peas and moroccan style beef lean cuisineGym Max: 229/126/305

Today started off not the best but got better.
almond butter snickers in car on commute
santa fe salad, green olives, lenny/larry protein cookie work lunch
sweet kale salad and chicken post workout dinner
Around 1600 calories total.
Listening to the Apothecary. It is quite action packed as now they are in trouble with the Scotland Yard along with others hunting for the two teens.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Well, yesterday was not diet friendly. Most of the day was fine as I had just coffee, a lenny larry cookie and a little cookie from the place where I got the morning coffee from as Starbucks had been closed at first. I went out in the evening with coworkers from my old store. It took us over an hour to get into the restaurant though we had been told it would only take 25. The restaurant was called Bossa Nova. I only ended up getting fries with gorgonzola but also tried the plaintains. Had some beer too and a shot that was more like 3 shots put in a regular glass. After that we went to a bar and had some more beer. Around 4 am we had some home made taquitos and a little leftover cake over at the store as they had a pot luck for the birthdays for the month. Got home around 5 am.
Today's food has been a salad with some chicken and a lean cuisine lasagna with extra cheese.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Yesterday wasn't too bad. Started off with some coffee and part of a chocolate croissant from starbucks. When start off with food always wonder where the day will go and if it will be tough at the end of the night to stay under. At work, I had sushi for lunch since stopped by flagship store before going to work. Dinner was leftover brocc-cheese tots and a piece of salmon. Tad low on protein and lowish on calories considering I'm okay with getting around 1600 for right now.
Monthly cycle is ending too. Need to step back on the scale and measure on a regular basis.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Today was a random day off from work. Rarely have thursdays off. I went to writing group but also did my lifting session earlier in the day. Thursdays are the upper body dynamic workout which is more full body cause I do push press, cleans, snatch and pendlay rows. Today focused on cleans and kept a bit lighter on the others. Even back down and did a couple sets of clean/press.
Food:
Coffee with creamer
most of salad made the night before
jerky
half sandwich and cup of onion soup from panera with a roll
Am cooking brussel sprouts and carrots now. Most of it will go for tomorrow's chicken rice bowl but might eat some tonight since am still hungry.
Need to finish listening to the Apothecary. Probably going to do that on the way to work the next two mornings. Have writing to do tonight along with setting up online contest for February one the site I moderate.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Lesson learned. I should probably eat more food earlier in the day if I'm going to do max effort squats after work. I'd had almost 700 calories before going to the gym. Made squats at 205 a struggle.
Food for today was:
sweet cream cold brew from starbucks
salad with a bit of turkey
clif bar
gym time
chicken, sweet potatoes, last of the sprouts and carrots plus tried edamame hummus on a very small piece of naan bread
Weighing between 147-148 the last couple of times stepped on the scale. Not sure how often I want to measure weight just yet as every single day gets grating on the psych and have other emotional/mental struggles so trying to not put excess stress in the mix.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Food:
zero calorie monster
cold cut combo sub (6")
quest cinnamon roll bar
kale salad with chicken
less than half container of low cow lite ice cream pumpkin flavor
Got enough protein and in deficit calorie range long as I don't snack. Tired from restless night so probably going to bed soon. Almost done reading the Apothecary book. They had some of those come out a little while ago. Kind of like the different m&ms. The best of the pb and almond butter ones so far has been the maple almond butter. I haven't seen it in the regular bar though, just the small bag with each square individually wrapped. The chili and espresso were okay. I liked the sweet and salty one.
Yesterday
sweet cream coldbrew
6 inch sub, spicy italian
promax protein bar
microwave spaghetti and small naan
so delicious strawberry mousse
The mousse was light on flavor but tasty and 300 calories for the whole container though doesn't have protein so halo top or similar brands are probably still the better option.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Depends in part on which one is available. I usually get the orange one though when it's out I stick with the classic white can. There is a yellow one that is pretty good too but not many places have it.
Today:
ham/cheese croissant
iced coffee
salad and hillshire snack tray (though only used half the bbq dip sauce)
caramel lindt bar
chicken, carrots, peas in pumpkin curry simmer sauce with some cheese filled pastaGym Max: 229/126/305

Today was lighter and still had to work. Wanted some food from starbucks this morning but the lady in front of me took so long knew wouldn't have time to eat before clocking in so just ended up with coffee. Might have a snack before bed, just haven't decided yet. Mostly chicken today so at least protein is decent. Also stepped on scale and now as 146 instead of 148 so heading in the right direction.

Another work day but no gym today. One last day of work then finally get a day off. Last night I ended up going to bed instead of eating anything else so calories were on the lower side of the current deficit goal.
Today:
a few hostess donettes (didn't eat the whole pack)
orange zero calorie monster
green giant buddha bowl with sriracha flavored tuna added
last of the curry chicken, carrots, peas with mushrooms added
other half of kale salad
Protein at a decent 77 grams. Calories just under 1400 currently for today.
Started listening to Girls on the Edge: The Four Factors Driving the New Crisis for Girls. Interestingly it's by the same author as Gender Matters, which I started reading the paperback of but haven't been interested enough to read further. He also has a book focused on boys that might look into later in the future. We'll see how these go first.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Today ended up a little higher than others. It's the pharmacist's birthday this week (and we had corporate people stopping by) so the store manager bought Sprinkles cupcakes. So, I had one. mmm cupcake
coffee with creamer and last 2 donettes
turkey sandwich (never use the mayo packet it comes with)
dynamic lower lifting session and 20 minutes walking
peas, mushrooms, egg whites and small bit of white cheddar cheese
chocolate cupcake from SprinklesGym Max: 229/126/305

Yesterday was a little too much caffeine with cup of coffee on way to work, cold brew at Starbucks cause I was an hour early for my shift, then a refill on the cold brew that took me hours to finish (like after 3 pm). Today instead did a 12 oz 15 calorie red bull instead. Food went decently today at least.
blueberry no cow bar
pear red bull (pretty good)
turkey sandwich on dark wheat
chicken salad on pretzel bread from yummy.com little grocery store
carrots, brocc, caul mix reheated
Tired though cause I struggled to sleep last night. Woke up like 8 different times. But have food for the next couple of days as I only actually had half the sandwich from yummy.com. Also got some dolmas, falafal bites and a broccoli salad (small cup of it). Plus have veggies with tortellini in a container set aside for a work lunch.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Today the commute was longer compared to the holiday and sunday shifts. I ate a cheese stick for breakfast on the way from the time clock to the pharmacy since we were located in the corner of the store. Overall not a bad day though. I really like the sandwich I got from yummy.com and might need to get it again.
cheese stick
orange zero cal monster
2 dolmas and some mini falafels with tahini sauce
dark chocolate sea salt One bar (interesting to have the bits of salt on the protein bar)
lower dynamic lifting and 20 min cardio
broccoli salad and rest of chicken sandwich on the pretzel roll
Reading: Put aside to the two psychology ones by the same author. Started reading one I had a paperback of and ended up trying to listen to a different one with an interesting title on my commute but just can't get into it. I think he has some good points to make. However, the one about teen girl issues is a bit outdated already cause the main image issue of posting and being fake online he talks about is Myspace. So yeah, maybe it needs an update.
Instead I started listening to a fiction book I found on the library app. I liked the sound of the title though it's a bit of a sad YA book as the main character's mother dies (commits suicide) at the start of the novel. The book is about her dealing with the loss and trying to find answers by going to Taiwan to meet her maternal grandparents she'd never met before. The book is called "the astonishing colors of after" and it has an artistic focus with how the main character views the world that I really am liking. I've listened to one hour so far, we'll see how the rest goes.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Getting back into posting. On a cut again (as I am often). Weight this morning = 137.8. So, made very very slow progress since end of February.
Today's food:
Cold brew with a little creamer (oreo creamer so yum)
Phillipe's the Original pork sandwich with dip on the side and coleslaw
Not sure on dinner yet. Yesterday I spent hours cleaning off shrimp. Future will purchase already prepared but this was free and direct from a shrimp boat in New Orleans thanks to a coworker. They make for a nice source of protein. Funds are low for groceries right now and awaiting new debit card cause someone got the number before and made a purchase so had to get it cancelled. Will get groceries after wednesday though.
Books, not much right now. Trying to write a story inspired by a Muse album at the moment. Did download What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear to start listening to on the way to work.Gym Max: 229/126/305

They shrimp have turned out quite good. Still not worth the effort to get them ready for cooking but a nice bit of protein so far. Today's food was a bit good and sub bar nutrition wise since have no money right now. Had a banquet pot pie that was buffalo chicken mac, so that was interesting but not the best in the nutrition department. Also had 200 grams of shrimp to boost the protein. Should really eat before trying to lift heavy bench as 95 is still feeling very heavy right now. Didn't even want to go but did before noon along with other adulting stuff, even did 10 minutes jogging on treadmill along with some walking too.

Note to self: re-read and edit before posting.
Right now things are going okay though having some issues with feeling hungry rather often. Dealing with hormones so that's always fun but part of being female. Weight is sticking to around 137-138 right now, which isn't bad considering shark week but hard to say if it's going to go in the right direction or not.
Food for the last couple of days:
Saturday
kickstart drink
cold foam cold brew
everything bagel with cream cheese
salted caramel power crunch bar
sesame chili stir fry veggies and shrimp
smart sweet sour gummies
Deadlift max effort day at gym
Sunday
cold brew with sugar free syrup and splash of almond milk
buddha bowl by green giant and thai tuna
lemon herb chicken, avocado and lime/herb rice
clif pb bar and mini hershey bar
no gym
Today:
pear 10 calorie red bull
think thin protein bar
Ample Hills ice cream
lean cuisine lasagna
Kroger sweet sriracha mix-n chicken
snack - still have a couple hundred calories left and not sure what I'll have

Well, the last couple of days have been rough. I've had a headache for 2 days now. It's not an intense pain or anything, just a persistent nuisance that has also came with some nausea. Definitely had a calorie deficit but haven't gone to the gym as work and coming home is about all I can muster. Barbell on the shoulders is not helpful with headaches.
Yesterday's food:
half a coldbrew with splash of almond milk
2 smores oreo cookies
one snickerdoodle bite cookie
grilled sriracha flavored chicken bites
peanut butter banana clif bar
Went to bed by about 8 pm but didn't go to sleep until some time after 11
Today - tried for liquid calories and took all shift to drink the first one
rest of cold brew with a little creamer added
half naked watermelon passion fruit juice
smoobucha citrus & guava juice
jamba small pb and banana protein smoothie
So, tad low on protein for both days and only around 800 calories. Tomorrow will hopefully get in regular calories of around 1300 and get into the gym.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Food:

2 snickerdoodle cookie bites my protein
green giant buddha bowl

Supposed to have a day off but ended up going to other store and working 4 hours. Food went okay though a tiny bit low on protein cause enjoyed a treat with lunch.
panera almond cold brew
salt and straw pancake, bacon and eggs ice cream

Days off can be a challenge but did okay today though spent the morning in bed because it was very chilly this morning for LA. I mean, even our heater turned on this morning (setting off the fire alarm) so it was nicer in bed with heating pad. Okay and the cat fell asleep on my legs so I didn't want to move.

Another okay day off from work. Tomorrow will be stressful based on the group text messages between the overflow from having a day with the pharmacy closed, floater pharmacist and apparently the system went down entirely in the evening. Can hope they get it sorted out in the morning but will find out when I get there for the close shift.
Today went to gym and stopped by Pressed Juicery to get supplies for tomorrow. Going to try another all liquid day and hopefully will get a real read as to how it goes since I was dealing with pain and nausea last week.
Today's food:
cup of coffee with creamer
jicama
last bits of pineapple
gym
quest protein bar (chocolate covered donut)
malibu seasoned chicken thigh
brussels sprouts
pretzel roll
Tomorrow so far have espresso shot, yuzu juice (includes jalapeno), citrus #3, bolthouse banana protein, and elderberry shot. Will order a smoothie at work. Trying for at least 1000 calories this time.Gym Max: 229/126/305
