They can see how lean you are and what areas to bring up to balance out your physique if that's your goal.
They would suggest a diet and training protocol depending on your look to help achieve that goal.

I agree. In fact, its a requirement if bodybuilding. But even if you are not a bodybuilder, doing it once, in the beginning isn't weird. However, waiting for him by his car with no shirt on or showing up every session and removing clothing for no reason would be a bit creepy.
