FC4 shines with its outposts and fortresses. FC5 is timid in comparison. Not sure why they even bothered with outposts tbh.

Interdasting. I bought all the available maps on FC4 with money from skins and other looting and the world is just endless, I love it. I still get my azz kicked when I try to do some of the big missions lol, it's hard af to be super stealthy sometimes.

I agree on that point. I really wish they added more outposts in FC5. There only seems to be 3-5 in each region. Hopefully the DLC and live events add some more stuff. Besides that I think the atmosphere is great.

They need a new game+ mode. An automatic .50 cal with Boomer and Hurk and the outposts being manned by 5 people make the game way too ez.

So I'm a little confused. All I want to do is unlock the AK47 but I have to have 5 resistance points or something. Can you only get 3 per region? I don't want to beat half the game before I get the guns unlocked.

Also, once you've got all the resistance points in a region, is that when the mission to go after the Seed family member for that region becomes available? I've just been messing around to get the hang of the game, and just by freeing civilians and stuff I have almost 2 RP in one region. I'm not going to trigger the final mission in a region without doing a single story mission am I?

The capture party is just a cutscene. It doesn't matter where you are. I've had them get me while I was flying.

I just finished the game. Meh. The gameplay is great, but the story didn't do it for me. 3 and 4 were much more engaging there. Loved all the characters though.

I love the ****in throwing knives. I wish you could carry more or I'd take out an entire outpost with them srs.

And apparently you can javelin a shovel at extreme velocities.

Complete opposite for me. I thought 3's story was weak, and 4's never interested me at all, but I feel like the story is the strongest part of this game

Only finished one of the three regions but so far I'm loving the chit out of this. Normally hate cutscenes but Joseph Seed just steals every one he's in. Has to be one of the best video game villains ever.

Kind of annoyed. I like to randomly just go around and mess chit up. Been doing that in Faith's region and I'm close to triggering the mission to go after her I think. All I've done in the game was freed the mountain lion, liberated a couple of outposts, and randomly killed all kinds of people indiscriminately.

I assume that I am only going to do 1 or 2 story missions in her region now before it's going to trigger the final one, which would then make all the others unavailable since I already liberated the region?

fuark playing far cry 4 still, just spent hours in the fukking arena fighting waves of *******s. finally got to level 10 and it gave me the bushmaker carbine rifle. the last round was insane, I had to take down 3 different rhinos who were charging my angus.

Killed John this morning. Haven done like one mission in Faith's region, and haven't set foot in the third region. Enjoying it so far. Having four weapons unlocked is great.

To the bro a few posts above, you can finish quests after killing the main character in the region.
Only exception I can think of is Elis missions in Jacobs region.


I think I might end up doing another playthrough later on with some self limiting rules:
1) No fast travel
2) No air drops
3) No using helicopters or planes unless it's mission relevant.

Seeing faith pop up all the time in henbane river was kinda unnerving. Felt bad killing her too at the end of that region.

so faiths background is kinda interesting. Figured out her and Tracy used to be friends and she wasn’t the first faith, and that her name was Rachel. When I liberated the jessup conservatory, Whitehorse told me over the radio that Rachel jessup was the one who gave the conservatory over to PEG. Was it ever confirmed that Rachel/faith was Rachel jessup?

Moral ambiguity would have made this game so much better. IIRC, FC4 had more of that. The Seeds are basically Bond villains. I kinda wish Outpost Master reset the whole map, but it only resets outposts. FC5 needs NG+.

I bought FC 3 on sale, and quickly noted myself this: bases With like 30 enemies in them. horrible AI. now repeat until game is over. I quit after 3 hours. there is no inspiration to play.

after some gameplay vids of FC5, I can see its the shame chit all over again. might buy this on super sale

Liberate camp or do some side mission.

Always low on ammo and it takes too many bullets to kill anything.

i think i kind of fukked up my playthrough. i thought it would be better to finish one region before moving on to the next and i ended up killking the main guy pretty early. now im in the other regions and hes still showing up in cutscenes.

uhh as far as im aware you cant kill joseph seed until you take care of the three other family members and their regions

Got helicopter back for Adelaide Drubman and now she follows me around with heli.

But than.


I tried to liberate some outpost and ran out of bullets died.

Game reloads from checkpoint and Adelaide is no longer around.

I press G on keyboard to call for backup and its just round circle nothing happens.

If your follower is killed there is a "recharge" period before you can use them again. Go to the roster menu and it'll tell you how long before you can use them again.
