Monthly update. Goal achieved!!!! Officially cracked the 50lb weight loss goal I started in January. Actually down 52 lbs on this morning's weigh-in. Now at 183lbs. Woo!

Still gonna keep going. Thinking another 15 will finally put me lean enough to start trying to make the scale go the other direction.

    I've been away.

My goal was to run in the Patriot Highlander Challenge and complete the 3-mile course.

    I did it on Saturday.

    Run time was 53 minutes.

Just finished bulking/vacation season, went pretty well overall. I feel like I added several pounds of muscle though I think I went a bit too fast which is always the danger for me. Started cutting again as of yesterday, eight weeks until the holiday season. I figured out how to shave another 112 calories out of my daily routine which gets me back up to around 1.35lb/wk if there are no unplanned meals.

Accidental PR this morning. I was scheduled for Deadlifts 3x3x437 but loaded 462 instead. (I was distracted and thinking about work) I couldn't figure out why I felt like I was trying to lift Thor's hammer until I went to unload and realized my mistake. On the plus side I finished the sets but I sure felt like I was going to die while doing it.

Congratulations! Post some before and after pics once you reach your goal.

That's some impressive weight but LOL at the mistake. Very nice...

My new years resolution to look the best i ever did in the year i'm 50 still well on track . Lost 35lb so far and body fat down from 31% to 17% and general fitness and stamina doing well ,even managed to fit in pants i wore last in the army in 1991. Another 13lb to go then on 200lb to see where my bodyfat is ideally aiming to reach 10-12% then lean muscle building . Been a slow process but satisfied with my progress
    My Personal mottos
Do the correct form and don't stroke your ego lifting heavier with bad form.
Stay of a bloody scale and concentrate on measuring tape to see progress.
No one can make you mad it is your choice if you want to get mad.

I was feeling strong this morning so I said heck with it and went for a new PR on bench. Hit 3x3x225! I'm well aware that's barely a warmup for a lot of people but I was pretty darn excited, first time I've ever benched two plates.

Congratulations, that's great! I have not benched 2 plates since high school so I am looking forward to it as well. My goal is to do sets of 5 reps with 225 by the end of my winter bulking phase.
