Weird twitch in forearm when doing Overhead Presses?

Hi everyone. So I'm new to strength training/lifts and it's been about two weeks. Today was the third time I did Overhead presses, and they are the only thing I have a problem with. When I am doing a rep, there is a weird twitch like sensation in my left forearm under the wrist, in the inner side. This only happens when I am lowering the barbell.

It's not painful, but it feels like it might become painful and it doesn't really seem right.

Any ideas about what I might be doing wrong?

I had something like that when I started doing overheads. It felt like a mild electric shock in my right forearm at one point of lowering the weight. Not painful, just strange. It went away after maybe a month.

One thing you want to make sure is that you hold the bar low in your palms, and don't let the wrists bend back too far.

I have this some times too. Next time before you ohp, do a few sets of curls and extensions with cable or light dumbbell. I think it is caused by one or two muscles being too tight, but that normally fixes it.

RK, I don't think it is caused by wrist bend, my wrists never bend during ohp, but holding bar lower in the hand, sounds like a good idea.

I don't go to the gym anymore so above stats are useless.

Only do weighted calastentics in the comfort of my own home!
